In today's video we see the white tower rush in its full glory. We used this strategy all the way up to conqueror 2 level! #aoe4 #ageofempires4 #ageofempiresiv
@@FarmManOfficial I bought new gaming laptop to play this game after watching xqc play. I wouldav bought one sometime anyway but couldn't resist not playing
This just looks like winning for the sake of winning, no elegance in it. It works, but it's just nasty. I would just surrender and find someone else to play with, not even feeling sorry for the lost points.
@@FarmManOfficial So many things can go wrong with this build. I'd like to see a compilation of different attempts at this, would be amusing and educational. If you have time! I think getting palisades and gates up around your White Tower area after it goes up might be a big help for protecting your siege engines and crossbows as they countersiege you. I also feel that early trebuchets are key in many cases, but maybe that's just me.
I think it's been almost a year since I knew that "dirty strategy". Textiles and good placement of the White tower are important to execute that cheese well.
xD its actually kinda fun, because its not as OP as it might look, have to be really sneaky and drag enemy army away from the drop point sometimes. also after the white tower goes up, if enemy goes castle age with landmark outside tower range, they're okay so you get to have some fun making trebs and put them inside palisade wall section, mangonels etc
thank you for the nice build. what if the opponent chose not to go fast castle, but to make a solid feudal? typically English feudal age have much more longbows then, giving it's Eng vs Eng mirror game.
Absolutely, the idea is to try and be as sneaky as possible. I had one game vs english where they made alot of army, but i kept scouting to see where army is and when they move their army out to your base you can start building the landmark. That way their army is out of position and too slow to get back. Its still tough but it can work sometimes with the aid of the king. The key is to remain undetected for as long as possible an for their army to be out of position. Same principle if playing against french or jeanne d'arc
@@FarmManOfficial I just tried it. 3 easy wins. Then I played French and I did the same build but built the White Tower in my base but got jumped by knights and they killed too many of my vills building the landmark and then it was just a slow bleed out to defeat as I didn't have the eco. Then I played English and they sussed out my White Tower and pulled all vills and with their vills and horsmen they rinsed my vills building the White Tower. It didn't help that I buggered the macro and didn't get textiles but even still, I think I was toast. Definitely stoppable if they suss out early enough what I'm up to.
Would sending dark age spears to the deer pack be enough to deny this? Or would it take tower rushing the deer pack and/or normal Feudal aggression to shut it down?
Possibly, but it's risky if all players go for it. If 4v4 maybe the two middle players can do with the two players on the side can make army to make sure the towers get built
@@FarmManOfficial For real. It can be tricky to scout, too, because it's so tempting to keep your scout home to help spot for the king raids. Also, nearly everyone else is going 2 TC off the Abbey opener...this is a brutal cheese in the current meta!
It's a fun challenge to see how high the strategy can go. Its not a bug abuse or cheating so I don't see it as any different from the Mongols tower rush strategies. In any case its very easy to stop and counter for most civilisations. It just has to be scouted and villagers intercepted with units
@@FarmManOfficial As an admittedly mediocre abbasid/ayyubid player I don't love it. The english matchup is already really strong. If I spot the villagers on gold and try to put pressure I get drawn into a feudal conflict where english has the advantage. If I try to FC I won't have enough units to stop the white castle drop. And even if I manage to siege the white tower down it only costs wood to repair it. It's not cheating - its a legit strategy. I just don't like having a white castle defending like 5 rams in my base before 10 minutes. It's not fun.
Man, idk, kinda like the content but every "strategy" i see like this, makes me wanna leave the game, i don't understand how "funny" would be do this to your opponent? Feels like doing old mongol TC rushing to me.
Hey there dude! If you scout it , react to it and stop it how would that make you feel? 😎 I get what you're saying but this particular strategy at best is one that people would dislike facing up against as a preference, just how some people hate facing up against players that turtle or 2-3 TCS or players that Mongol outpost rush. Mongols TC rush was actually just OP/broken and almost impossible to stop whereas this white tower strategy can and should be stopped if people are scouting. Please don't uninstall the game, scout it, kill it and then laugh about it 💪👌👍
@@FarmManOfficial haha no uninstalling cause this, but makes me feel weird about it, cause I faced mongol TC rush and I could stop it with scout + quick wall, so if I can stop it, it's op? No but it's just oppressive for the other player, first player just put TC into others base and the other player has a lot of fun, while the alarm gets triggered every 7 seconds, why they nerfed barbican? Cause it was so fun to play against, this is almost same concept
Farm man I know you seen xqc stream and I see your videos pop on his RU-vid on stream. You know you targeted this lmao shade and I have been trying to get him on duos not to snipe but to befriend
Fair 👌👍 I respect that take because I kinda hate playing up against mongols tower rush also. But yeah, this strat can be countered well by most civs as long as scouting is there
