Echoes of silence is one of the most important songs on here but it's usually misunderstood. When he's saying "don't go home," "spend your night with me," that's what the girl said to him. In the beginning he's talking about how she kept on going back to him even though she knew he would never stay, then he says "i ask why, and you reply," then there's a long pause before he continues with her reply. She begs him to stay, and he ridicules her, and tells the story in the most depressing way possible. Man is a fucking menace and he does not give a shit about shattering this girls heart

23:24 this mixtape is heavy on the codependency for me. In Echoes of Silence, the song itself, he says she knew the entire time that he was a bird, that she wasnt going to be able to hold him down, or cuff him to make him hers and that she wasnt the only one, even after everthing he did to her and exposed her to with his lifestyle and drugs and having a train ran on her. She kept coming back because she fell for him. He calls her a masochist. She enjoys being hurt. He ask her why. She said she likes the thrill and nothing is going make her feel alive like this. He acknowledges this, and he sees her realness and her darkness and is attracted to it. So, he admits something to her in return...he invites her to stay with him so they could feed off one another's trauma and turmoil together. "End your night with me. Dont leave me behind. Dont leave my litte Life. Dont leave my little Lie." That dont leave my little lie hits hard, like this is all a cover up for how much hurt I have in me behind all this drug and sex and money i have to have to be "happy". Song hits different.

The Fall is particularly cool because he’s at the peak tryna convince himself that he’s not scared of the fall. And the entire song is just build up and you keep waiting for the beat drop that never comes. So it captures the anxiety and tension he’s talking about. Illangelo is an incredible producer.
