Most of my friends with children worked up until the week they gave birth, they then took a couple weeks off to get the baby settled and then went back to work. 3 I don’t want children but if I did me and my husband would have a conversation about what was best for our family. The result of that conversation would most likely be whoever makes the most money will go back to work and the other will stay home with the child. Once we feel the child is old enough to attend a daycare they the other person would go back to work. If we couldn’t afford to not have both of us working then I imagine one of us would work during the day and the other would work at night so someone would always be home with the child and occasionally using a babysitter when needed. If one of us made a enough money to cover the bills on their own for a long period of time then that person would work while the other person stayed home raising the baby bc we think it’s important for parents to be very involved but it’s unlikely either of us would make enough to afford that.
