Toxic optic neuropathy..CAT MUDPILES 

Hi Andrew. Thanks for all your fantastic talks and providing a fantastic resource to neurologists and ophthalmologists also neuro-ophthalmologists. Question: Do you really think uremia can cause an optic neuropathy? I know there are case reports (Jani et al. JNO, 1989, Knox et al JAMA ophthalmology 1988) but does that mean it really exists? because these patients have vascular risk factors and also renal disease can cause hypertension would you think these are essentially NAAION?
