Am 40 have my own kids still not got over toxicity that I grew up with..sometimes though I try my best not to ..I also show my mom's characters as if it's inbuilt in me and behave like a demon with my kids
This is the biggest fear n ma life. And as u told, even i have some inbuild characteristics of my toxic mother and my father was an alcoholic as well.although m trying my best to stop the cycle, sometimes it comes.

Older married children also has toxic parents.. parents financially abusing their son and daughter in law for money saying its their responsibility to provide for parents needs and dreams since they raised their son. My in laws both got masters, acres of family land /family house and dowry brought by mother in law and later my dowry.. then my husband’s 5 years of engineer salary before marriage .. even with all this they always says they don’t have money to survive🤷♂️..they saw their older son as a retirement platform.. they build luxury home and bought above average priced car before son’s marriage without no money in their hand .. thinking their son will get married to foreign salaried girl with high dowry.. but they didnt tell all this at time of marriage.. after marriage my mother in law told me ( i was 24 yrs old at that time) I should give her 2 lakhs every month from my salary to support them otherwise they will sell home and Me and my parents will get humiliated. I didnt give since i need to show enough money in my account to sponsor my spouse visa.. after 7 months my husband came to USA and when he got salary he started shipping money.. i told him we need to buy home here.. save for emergencies but no use.. after a year i got pregnant and he got sense.. he stopped shipping them money.. since i can't work overtime anymore due to body weakness and also as family we need to save to buy home.. ofcourse we went through hell.. due to them trying to create guilty feeling /emotional black mailing by bending bible words ..later they asked for power attorney of land and house from my hus and he gave it . They sold the property for huge profit and built an average small house.( still they say they don't have money , i wonder what happened to almost 80 lakhs of profit). my dowry money and one year worth of money went to drain.. but i am happy we stopped it before we will be in huge loss.. now after 3 years.. here in USA we put down payment and brought a home.. have 3 kids.. of course his parents or his lazy sisters( 26 and 28 yr old don’t make zero money sitting at home saying its their brother’s responsibility to take care of them since they are girls) don’t talk to me any more.. well thats for good since i dont need to hear their financial abuses money talks .. etc and can be at peace..
