I totally agree with Dan about the window shopping. I just started going toy-focused cons, but even if I don't have much many to spend at one, it's still fun to see some of this stuff for the first time.
The Nintendo Playchoice, PS2 light up store display, Vectrex and Commodore 64 are awesome for sure. As a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan myself, it's unfortunate that you missed out on buying the Rocksteady action figure. It's great seeing so many amazing toys and video games even though I couldn't be there in person. Otherwise, thanks as always Pixel Dan. I really appreciate it!
My dad trash picked an old projector with a bunch of film, about a year ago we were going through it and discovered the film was old family videos from the 60s when they were at a Disney thing I think in New York. It’s crazy, it shows the guy and his family, Disney characters greeting them and doing a whole bunch of stuff. It’s really cool.
Props to Dan for waiting until the day of the show to try and grab that giant Rocksteady, like everyone else. It would have been real easy to use his Pixel Dan fame and snag it beforehand.
Yep but look how being honourable totally backfired on him. If id seen something i wanted i would have run to that stall first and not taken my time with picking up a already purchased order first costing him on the rare item.
@@SecretOfMonkeyIsland784 Dudes. Let's also keep in mind that I have a table as a guest of the show. So I actually had to spend a portion of the early part of my day at my table fulfilling obligations and chatting with viewers. I certainly didn't waste my time. If it costs me a toy, it costs me a toy. I've got a job to do first. :-)
I would never had imagined there was a series of Betamax MOTU casette series, I remember my family owning one when I was a kid but I would not have dreamed with having the chance to see MOTU episodes any time I wanted besides the daily episode aired at 5 p.m. every day in my country.
So cool! I'm always looking forward to these retropalooza vids, it's so much fun just looking at all the stuff. Wish we had something like this organized here too...
fun to see you point out stuff I totally missed :'D I did pick up the triceramike cuz I never see it and my buddy NARC (Not Another Retro Channel) got the rocksteady. Those vhs and betamax tapes are sweet dude!
I'm a DVC member and it's cool to know that you also are a big Disney fan as well. We have tons in common. I don't know if that's a good thing or not. LOL!
Awesome! Yeah, we're a big Disney Parks family here. We do Disneyland the most, because I'm out in California a lot for various shows. So we always try to extend trips a few days just to hit the Parks. :-) We're hoping to plan a big trip to WDW with the family in the next few years. I haven't been in about a decade, so much has changed. But all I watch on YT these days are Disney Parks vids. Heh. I'm a bit obsessed.
@@Pixel-dan Yeah I go 3 times a year and even from trip to trip there are tons of changes and always new things to look forward to experiencing. If it has been over a decade for you it will seem like a whole new world. See what I did there? LOL!
I still remember getting Seargent Bananas from Children's Palace bak in the day. Such a cool figure, plus anything with a sidekick is an automatic win.
I loved Children's Palace and Toy Liquidators. That's probably where I got all my toys as a kid, which explained why I had so many, because I got them so cheap.
I was there with NARC when he bought it. He just kept saying how he doesn't even like TMNT followed by a lot of maniacal laughing. It was very unsettling.... FYI I believe it sold for $25, not sure if that helps you sleep or will keep you up at night ;)
Dear Pixel Dan, I have watched you for some time now. I don’t know if you will see this but I hope you do. I have always loved your videos sense I first saw the 2012 tmnt ooz video. I am about a decade or two younger then most of your fans, instead of being an 80s or 90s kid I’m actually a 2000s kid. One of my favorite toy lines as a kid was Imaginext DC, I was cleaning out my closet and found my old bat cave and archam Asylum and tons of memories came flooding back, starting from my first bat mobile to whatever I have now. I was hoping you could do a Toysplosian on either Imaginext or specifically the DC part of it. Thanks to you I have learned many things about toys. I may be a teen, but I will always be a small child at heart.
Hi Dan, awesome channel. I like to watch for a while now. Do you know by any chance if the motu toy guide you have participated in will be shipped world wide? Keep up the good work you do.
Pixel Dan Thanks for the reply. When I was young it was always a bummer that you guys in the US got all the awesome series while we in Germany have not. I am born 82 and learned later that there is a collectible value, passion and money behind all that. Now living in Canada the choice of action figures is better but the prices are just crazy sometimes.
Hey Pixal Dan , love the hunt i know you like He Man so i was at Walmart Tuesday Night and they have the Complete box sets uf HE-MAN and SHE-RA❗❗❗❗❗❗❗ so if you ever out at walmart you might want pick them up, un less you have the orginal set ⁉️
I open almost everything. But MOTU and TMNT are my primary collections, and I do like to collect MOC for those two lines as long as I feel it's a price I'm ok with paying.
Pixel Dan I like to keep lines like Hook , Water World & food fighters on moc too . Love the box art . Thank you for replying love the videos fan of many years .
@@DRNicholasJones I definitely will do that with some things where I love the box art. And Food Fighters is one of my all-time favorite lines, so I do have almost every figure carded plus loose for that line. :-)
