I love the fact that Mexico has a huge convention for TOYS, especially retro classic toy-lines, without getting hung up on exclusives and commercialism like too many Conventions. The very fact that they have a booth devoted to Bootleg stuff says it all! Even me and my brother had Bootleg Transformers and MOTU toys back in the day! We used to love playing with them because they were different, and you could pick them up so cheaply back then.
you probably dont give a damn but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the login password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
@Andy Quincy Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thanks for covering the Playmobil stuff a bit, Dan. I've been collecting Playmobil my whole life, and I truly love the stuff and wish it got more attention in the US. It's GENUINELY one of the best toy lines of all time, right up there with LEGO, and even better than LEGO in a lot of ways. I know it's not widely available in the US (especially without Toys R Us), and I'm sure it's rare to even find it at cons, especially in huge awesome displays like that, but....thanks for showing it when you DO see it.
Awesome hunt and one really cool show. Man had Roton and yes I am digging the version you found more then the US release and same reason. I await the haul vid to see what else was picked up.
Awesome video Pixel Dan, that was a trip back to my childhood having a lot of those bootlegs, and and scruffy looking workshop he is a real artist those customs look amazing, hope he gets more views and suscribers, he definitively deserves it
Awesome toys! As always #PixelDan you review the toys you tell me what's best and what's not good and I'm running around like Speedy Gonzales toy hunting. Lol You my friend has given me joy in these hard times. Oh my goodness, How much for Tinieblas, the masked wrestler with the yellow mask and a black pyramid upside down style? I love Mexico and all the goodies that I'm seeing!!
Happy to see you're enjoying Mexico City, I'm close, but never been there, you are the genuine article pal, love your channel and glad I became a subscriber, thank you!
Great choice! You couldn’t leave Mexico without a proper “story telling” toy. On another note, those bootleg Power Rangers would have been my achilles heal.
Dude, please do a more in detail review of that Roton! This is why I love channels like yours and Mad hunter's. I love toys, especially MOTU. I had them when I was a kid, but I can't afford to get them again, and to see you guys do the reviews and find them during a hunt, its like I'm right there living the experience as well...Thanks for bringing this memories back. Excellent buy!
I think Justice Cury says it best when he says that after u have bought everything official and u don't want the fun to end, Bootlegs/KO's are the next natural step and I think he' so right. I've only just started on Bootleg/KO's and it's the same if not more fun than getting the official stuff.
hi pixel dan such a nice video..very enjoyable to watch as you show us around explain and educate us the history to toys... to your experience of buying a toy just like how i would react when i see a toy i like. thanks for doing this 🙏
4:02 Wow, I had that Leonardo back in the early 90's, but he was individually packaged, came with one of each of those weapons plus a sword, and a black karate gi with a red belt made of cloth where you could put all the weapons. Is so weird back in the day our parents would buy bootlegs for us because they were much cheaper and nowadays they can be more expensive than original figures.
18:39 hey Dan, see the artwork behind you? Caballeros del Zodíaco (Saint Seiya). It would be cool if someday you review the 80s/90s Bandai figures. Those were HUGE in Latin America.
I've been trying to collect Mexican legendary wrestlers like El Santo, Blue Demon, Tinieblas and others. I need to contact #MadHunter, cuz he's the guy that's going to help me with that task. With the blessing of my mentor #PixelDan I will collect, even the bootleg action figures...they're awesome.
I see a lot here in the mexican fela markets for 50 cents or less, my dad loves the mexican westler to, good luck in your hunting, maybe i can sell you some ones
So with bootlegs... Now that they're fetching a pretty decent amount of money, what's stopping people from bootlegging... well, the bootlegs? How do you authenticate a true, vintage bootleg from something made a month ago?
Dan, now that you have the Los Amos box, all I can imagine is someone walking into you and crushing the box in by accident. Given the price, they should have given you a foam safe for that thing!
Happy for you Dan that you get the Roton vehicle mine favorite is the Battle Ram it was and still is mine first vehicle from the line went I was a kid and mine favorite I would purchase the Ram but you purchase your favorite I hope I can go to Mexico
Would be amazing to see more than Masters of the Universe (I do like them) toys and dolls. There were Ironman and transformers there. Not even a 5 seconds shot. Oh well, your show.
I went to a flea market in Jalisco a long time ago. They had all sorts of crazy figures, that's where I found my star wars dred priest all by himself. I'll never forget seeing a predalien figure but it was like half cyborg, I regret not buying that but I did find a badass predator skull for $20 though.
