Before Generation 1 Megatron hit store shelves back in 1984, we need to look at the toy that started it all. This is the MicroChange MC-12 Gun Robo, aka the black and brown coloured pre-Transformer Megatron that was part of the New Microman toy line, from 1983.
This vintage action figure has many of the same features as Megatron, with some differences highlighted in this video. This is the story and history from before Transformers. Micro Change was a subset of the Microman toy line, and a companion / parallel toy line to the very popular Diaclone toys.
