Of all the videos about dogs and training for sport this was undoubtedly for me the best of all very basic but super super important to have the dog conditioned to different commands and behaviors.

Great video and it is a wonderful demonstration of what a healthy relationship with a dog looks like - so much joy on both ends of the toy!

Thank you Marko! So far my pup can bring back the toy to play with me, and building up the informal out. Formal out and hold we do with the helper, but we should do this absent the helper too. I am currently trying to teach the Follow/Target and sometimes she is good - sometimes I get bit! I would love to know more about how you built this up in an adolescent dog.

Thanks for the instructive video! I seem to struggle with rule 1: come back with the toy. My dog (Boxer) hardly ever comes back with the toy, instead he begins to chew on it or even tries to destroy it. Sometimes I can stop that by telling him to bring the toy and then he'll come back with it - but I guess the goal is for him to come back with the toy without me telling him to do that. Do you have any advice how to make that happen? (He's easily distracted and often changes his mind within seconds, apparently not always remembering what he was doing only a short time ago...)

Good video and good tips. However, I would like to have seen you actually teach the out/release command. Also, on a dog that was not raised as a puppy.
