LEt's go! great upgrade and review. it's always nice to know some updated thoughts a few weeks after the unboxing to see if the product still holds up to their original quality before it was out of the box, so I really appreciate that.
I was lucky enough to find seedtoys' distributor, who is able to send out the heads in a more timely manner it seems. He's also much more commutative, and explained to me a few of the issues that you're having with your woody: - the buttons are intended to be glued on the body with fabric or superglue - the head is meant to fit on a signature collection woody, which uses a connector piece to attach to the pre-installed voicebox, which causes it to not wobble at all. -the bandana is meant to be folded a little to resemble the look of the films hope that helps!

@@NikolaiTedeschi4 it’s because the head is meant to be placed on a signature woody! he included instructions, which explained that the connector piece is to be removed from the collection head and then transferred to the seedtoys head.
@@GGalactigal I see…the version he sent me also didn’t include instructions so I was a little lost, but thank you for clearing the air on that. I’ll probably change the Woody body later down the road, we’ll see.
Make sure it when you buy this it’s only for display or if you’re gonna give it to a gift make sure the person you give it to is just going to use it for display

I’m glad that you were able to update the woody head! I do think it does look a lot better than the soft and huggable one. Hopefully I can get mine updated soon.
Also you should get a new Buzz Lightyear head and I think the new characters are Utility Belt Buzz Lightyear, Woody’s Roundup Furniture, and Andy’s board games.
Nick I might have some badnews for you when you buy seed toys head what you were supposed to do with it was take out the peg of the other woody head and then put it on the seedtoys head
I recently ordered a Movie Accurate Custom Woody with the rare 2009 Brazil TSC version from ToyStoryFR (The person who made these great squeezing Aliens) with the Seed Toys head, belt and buttons. I didn't even realise it was from him until I complimented his work on Instagram and he recognised my name from Ebay. Can't wait for it to arrive, it's looking amazing! Maybe you could try adding some soft cotton-wool inside the head to avoid any futher damage to the paint. Still a great kit to your collection!
Sorry I meant to say "Hat" instead of head. 🤣 I really wasn't expecting to have a movie accurate woody or a brazil Woody anytime soon so I was shocked when I found one for sale. Great collection you have! The Stinky Pete made by Kop is still on my list. :)
Great review! I have his newer version of the head with more glossy hair coming in the mail, super stoked! I wish SeedToys was more communicative, as I lucked into finding his broker, otherwise I'd never have had the chance to buy one :P Thankful I did though!
Oh wow, how’d you manage that? And yes I also wish he was more commutative, I think he’s just very selective…it’s a great head! Hopefully yours doesn’t get those paint flaws on it. 🤠
I recommend you can get like a thin marker and if it’s hollow like the toy story collection woody you can insert the marker in the head as far as it goes
Hello! Big fan, i customize woodys alot after seeing today i grew up. I have some recommendations for you 🤷🏼♂️ i would take your signature collection white vest and swap it with your original. I think its more accurate, newer too. Sow it to the body. Then like Zedabyu take that voice box and unscrew it. Take the first half and place it into your woody with the peg you already attached to the seed toys head. Then that way his head is more stable and he will looks a little more together. Eventually since you have the new vest you can order a movie accurate voice box and have a vest thatll go with it. Then little details you can add are brown stitching on his knees like the signature version. Mayyyyybe exchange the ruby at some point. The most important thing i think is to save this woody since he’s your original toy. Just my thoughts, hope this helps
Sorry! Also add more stuffing from the older woodies you have. You can help keep his head up by adding stuffing. Thatll help alot so he is not so dangly. He will still be floppy and leave room for that but a little will help him not fall onto himself.
rewatching this a couple weeks after i got mine delivered, do NOT squeeze the hat onto his head, it’s designed to fit the collection hat smoothly on the top of his head as opposed to how big the hat is on the og collection woody. if u squish it on ur putting it on the wrong way and warping the soft plastic the head is molded on
You need to get yourself a Dremel multi tool and grind out the inside of Woody"s hat to make it wider, then you can put a hat liner inside to protect his head, have done this custom many times and it works.
Another modding tip is get some air drying plaster fill in the holes on Woody,'s hat let dry and then sand, till smooth, you only need a little bit to fill the holes, then paint the hat, you can use raw siena and mix a little orange colour paint to get the desired colour or use burnt orange colour paint to achieve the same effect. Have done this to most of my Woody's hats, no more holes!!!! Yipeee.

Why can’t they just make a 1:1 of a whole figure, maybe with changeable heads or faces for more expressions. Maybe movable eyes. Also would rather the badge and buttons were pinned on.
hello big beautiful woody's head accurate but it's not good that it dances so the head could tear the collar of the shirt you should use some cotton to strengthen that critical point of the neck
