Haven’t seen this series in probably 20 years. I have always enjoyed the postwar accessories but how I like to refer to them to people not in the know, I hate myself therefore I collect these finicky buttholes that work great when nobody is around but never fail to make me look dumb when someone comes to check them out. But with that said, most of this stuff is pushing 70+ years old, they can be cranky if they want.

Lionel's toy train accessories emulated work for children who had never gone to work. If you told them you had to sit there for eight hours a day and Load log cars all of a sudden it would not be fun anymore it would be work. I just can't stand the racket they make.
