I had an ex who was the nicest, most respectful, intelligent , loving, and kind man ever... in public. Behind closed doors he beat the living shit out of me. No one knew. I was terrified to tell. I would stay in the house until the bruises healed. He moved me away from my family and took the phone with him when he left, he degraded me and made me feel awful. His family knew but refused to admit it when I finally got away and wanted to press charges. Bottom line, it happens everyday.
Chile, I had to respond to this. I got treated the EXACT same way they did K Michelle over a man. This just reminds me time will reveal all. Also, they all really thought they were better than K. I am fairly confident of one thing - it's likely that if he did beat her ass, then he will almost certainly do it again some time down the line with Toya. Men like that have power, anger and control issues and it's never the woman's fault when it happens, so it takes almost nothing to finally set him off - it's impossible to avoid angering him. *Shrugs*

I was in abusive relationship and I did not tell anybody. I'm very close to my parents I hide it from them every Sunday I went to the house for dinner. No one knew anything because I was embarrassed and ashamed. If you never been in an abusive relationship you will never know how it feels when another person beat on you, tell you that you're nothing, etc. I hope she is not lying!

The 1st time I was hit by a boyfriend in high school & he was in college, I felt confused & helpless! That had never happened to me before! Then after being with him for 3 years, I got tired of him hitting me, & I left him, but he did everything in his power to stop me from leaving, but to make a long story short, cus it is a post, I was finally free of that looser! Now in my life, I am happy with a good man who loves me & has never hit me! Thank God!

I was too in an abusive relationship. And for years I was in denial. But the day he broke my jaw and I walked was told that I had to walk around for 6 weeks with my mouth wired shut was the last straw. My ex served 6 months behind bars for what he did.

Ok,i just wanna state that just because there was no police report filed,doesn't mean it didn't happen,i know oh too well about being brutally abused and having no where to turn,out of humiliation.i went thru something similar,but it invoved other people being wrongfully acused of something they did not do,which resulted in a wrongful conviction anyway.

I am a certified counselor and I work at a domestic violence agency. I have been counseling survivors of DV (domestic violence) for a very long time and Toya everybody's situation is not the same. I have counseled wives/girlfriend's who have been with their abuser for well over 10 years and not once have they taken a picture of the bruises or called the police. Y? b/c they become consumed with wanting to protect him and pretending like everything is ok.

I was with a guy who did abuse me on a regular basis and noone knew about it because everyone thought he was such a good guy. They always saw him buying me flowers and other things, not realizing those were his apology gifts for beating me. Even after he almost killed me, the police who came, let him go because he said that he seemed sorry for what happened. He is with someone now, and he has never hit her, but that is because he changed, all people are not good together.
I told my baby daddy’s second baby mama that my baby daddy was abusive BEFORE she became pregnant and just like Toya she didn’t believe me called me a lie and said that he never hit her then boom he beat her ass in front of her children and don’t claim her child oh well I tried to warn you just like K warned Toya 🤷🏾♀️

Abused women have their reasons. I was abused for 3 years by my sons father. I was threatened, forced to do things I didn't wanna do, and my sons were almost mistreated. Its easy to say, why not call the police, go get help, when u are on the outside looking in. I was embarassed, ashamed, low self esteem, and didn't want to get police involved and have to tell a bunch of people. It was humiliating what I allowed. Women do the strangest things and I never thought I'd be one of them.
They feel embarrassed and ashamed and would rather keep what is going on a secret. It doesn't matter if he threaten the mother or her child's life...its a mind game. It's also easy to say what you will do when you have never been in that person's shoes. Just b/c he has never been physically abusive to you or to any of his past partners does not mean that he has not been physically/mentally/financially abusive towards K.Michelle.
