That was fast, I wish all engine rebuilds were that fast. Having watched your stuff for years I'm surprised you didn't hose down the engine bay with degreaser or shoot those rusty pulleys with anti-rust satin black. Looks ready for another 300,000 miles anyway.
Hey Matt, Right now my free time very limited and I was honestly frustrated I could not spend more time to detail the engine and accessories. I am so short staffed at my main job and the work load at my own business is almost more than I can handle at the moment.
@@yourbeekeeper Isn't that always the case when you want to spend time on a project? Glad to hear you're keeping busy with work but hope you get a breather soon.
@@MattTester I'm going to take at least one week off... completely off... no work at all and go out of town the first week of July regardless of my staffing or pending projects... with the pulleys.. in the next video notice that once the engine is completely assembled, you can't even see them so that's why I left them alone. Spoiler alert, I did take the time to do some detailing of the engine bay and under-side of the hood (bonnet) ...heh heh heh...
You got the engine stroked, the blower is coming, the twin 4bbl carburetors with NOS lol. The truck is been apart long enough you've forgotten where everything goes or how it came apart. I bet ya skippy was telling you how its supposed to go back together his way is the right way 😂
all the hoses and sensors are crazy considering this is such an old vehicle...but with that being said, all the measured emissions at the last test just a few months before the head gasket failed were practically zero. Hope you have recovered and you're feeling better.
Looks like your moving right along, I imagine your already driving it around at this point. Your trucks pretty clean and probably entering collector territory... It would be here in the rust belt. Do you have to worry about break ins or smash and grabs? I've heard they're pretty bad in the San Fransisco area.
Yes, at this point I have a couple hundred miles on it and so far no issues. Crime and theft is out of control in SF.... I avoid that place like the plague that it is.
