What is the purpose of the initial step of sanding the lines? Is it to even it out or make the lines less pronounced? I'm just learning about modeling so please excuse my ignorance. Thanks!
There are a few thick production lines on the body from injection molding when the kit was being produced. The lines will stick out after painting if not removed. If you are looking to make it as realistic looking as possible then removing them helps.👍
@@JunsMiniGarage , everyone looks down upon the last generation Chevrolet (USA/Canada) Nova, a.k.a., the Holden Nova, but what people fail to recognize is that almost, if not every, part of those cars can be interchanged with the Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno and Toyota Corolla Levin, plus the Toyota Corolla was also sold in North America and in Australia/Oceania at the time, which also means that the thing that I said about the Chevrolet Nova and the Holden Nova also apply to the Toyota Corolla. My point is that the Chevrolet Nova of 1984 to 1988, the Holden Nova, and the Toyota Corolla of that time are all potential sleeper tuner/drifter cars due to their shared lineage with the Toyota Corolla Levin and the Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno.
What are the clear little pieces that you used as spacers called? I’m assuming they’re just clear beads but I’d like to know the actual term. Also, do you know where to get more drift/touge team based slap stickers like the ones you applied to the windows at the end? Great vid my guy
Nilex Thank you for watching my video😁. For spacers I used poly-caps that come with the kit, they often provide a few extra sets of them in the kit. But if they don’t you can make them with styrene sheets. Most of the decals come with the model and some are taken from other projects, but you can also print your own decals with an inkjet printer, all you need is some blank decal sheets and a program like Photoshop to correctly scale whatever images you want the decals to be.
STOLA OLA Thank you. I bought this kit from a local hobby dealer a while ago. These are harder to find now so if you want to get one the best place will be eBay hobby dealer, sometimes amazon sells them, too.
hi there i have a question i was building a tamiya mx5 model kit and i sanded the entire car but the sandpaper wasn’t from tamiya and now i can still see the scratch marks what should i do???
Me encanto de la forma que bajaste los neumáticos delanteros así parece un dragster, yo estoy por hacer tres proyectos que son Chevrolet y quiero hacerlos todos bajarlos al mas arras del piso.
tbh, I don't see the issue with it. There's this one AE86 I remember seeing that had Honda Civic brakes on the front, partly because they were larger than the stock Toyota ones. When you're racing on the cheap, gotta do what you gotta do.
hi, i'm kinda new in automotive model kit. so i wanna ask to somebody that can explain to me, how to know if a model kit is included with engine or not. Thanks!
