As a owner of a 2015 diesel 2.0.. My advice to buyers of a used one.. Dont buy... Its is extremly expensive too fix if you even gets small problems! And certantly do not buy it, if you dont use it for long distance driving, but only use it for short city driving.. You will kill the engine in no time... I have been driving toyota for many years, but the diesel avensis has disapointed me very mutch.. So mutch that next time i will buy a Subaru!
Buy one with the 1.8 petrol manuel - can't last forever. agree don't buy this version with a diesel (Bmw engine). If you want a diesel take the Avensis before this facelift, 2012-2015, which has a toyota Diesel engine.
Nick Karipidis Which carmakers do you mean? Because I can only think of VAG and Opel. Renault offers a 200 hp 1.6 for the Talisman. But you have KIA, Hyundai, PSA, Fiat (Fiat doesn't even have a car in this segment!), Mazda, and they all have engines with less than 200 hp, and that includes diesels and petrols. They all top out at around 180-190 hp.
this is nothing like the avensis it replace the last avensis had squared lights with a multi bar grill between the light, so how can you bsay nits the same car. no xtetior pannel is the same, the interioris s and very different so come on this is more than a face lift

I am very disappointed. VW, Ford much better, or a Mazda 6 if you need a Japan car. This exterior cannot work for Europe. Toyota really need a new designer, from Europe. Also there should be more powerful diesel engines to choose, with automatic. I won't buy this.

+Nick Karipidis VW have one of the most upmarket interiors. Look at the Golf and Passat , their upmarket interior s could almost defeat some interiors of the class above
