There's a cover over the fuse box so you might miss it on the first look. The fuses in the Aygo are mini fuses, so get the correct fuse tap! Thank you for this guide
Great video, very easy to understand & follow. The only thing I done different was to attach the earth cable to a bolt close to the fuse box which had already earth wire/s connected to it. I struggled to get it onto the point you used for some reason.
Thanks for this video! I know feel confident on hardwiring my dash cam! I was wondering where the fuse box was on my Aygo, as I couldn't see it, but now I know where it is I can purchase the kit. ETA: I have a question regarding which fuse and the Nextbase 522GW. This dash cam records bumps/movement. Which fuse is best for this feature to work?
An excellent video, with clear and hopefully easy to follow step by step instructions. I bought a hardwire kit for mine now, so just have to build up the confidence with electrickery to actually attempt it. If you do this as a side line how come you don't have a link....... just incase I or someone else wanted you to fit theirs?.
What do you mean on your last comment about which way to Orient the fuse holder about the power travelling through correctly i don’t understand , never heard that before, what would happen if it was the wrong way round is (this on all hard wires)
Fuse slots have what's called a hot side, this is the side that the current comes from before travelling across the fuse on on to the camera needing power. If the fuse holder is put in the wrong way around the current is bypassing the fuse before reaching the camera.
@@PJsprojects Thanks for reply. Nope not under there. It would appear it's precisely where you say it is in your video but seems like I've got to take half the lower dash off to access it ! How incredibly clever of Toyota to require a motorist to do that on the side of a busy motorway on a cold dark rainy night just to change a fuse !
