Man I watched so many stupid videos about messing with the wiring harness and vaccum lines to resolve this issue, this actually solved my cars issue and saved me so much headache and money 🎉

I literally had this problem today. My wife called me in a panic stuck in the road in traffic. I instructed her to shut off and put in gear and try to get the car off the roadway. She did and she waited for me to go pick her up. I searched out this issue and got to your video. Did exactly what you instructed and it worked. The valve wasn't all the way opening. Cleaned it with the cleaner (not exactly the same can but one that was a good substitute) worked like a charm. Thank you. Thank you. Got better acceleration and just runs better just from that. I cleaned my Subaru throttle in exactly the same way. Had to disconnect the battery to stabilize the rpms after that.

Great job pm explaining the detachment of every connector. I've been a boiler operator/mechanic, a rocket surgeon, and now I'm on my last gig before I retire doing logistics for a chip maker. I know how to follow instructions. But far too many of these videos leave out or gloss over a critical step. I don't know why- if you doing a How-to, it completeness that matters - not the background music or cool intro. I'm just watching this for like the third or fourth time, right before I pull that assembly so I don't end up with a mystery connector, or spend an extra half hous because I disconnected the wrong side of something, and irmt just struck me how well you covered the one indispensable sequence clearly and succinctly Kudos! Update Wouldn't you know it, just as I got to thr last clamp, the rain ppen up and the wind kicked up. Ducked.back in the house to warm up and dry out.

Wow this was a super simple procedure and worked great on my 2011 Carolla with 186k miles! The engine seems to run much smoother and idles at a higher RPM (around 1000). Thank you 👍🏻

Good video, if you have no one to help you, just disconnect the battery, and do the rest on your own, no check engine light no codes, no harm done as long as the battery is disconnected, i did that on my, camry, my corolla, with no problems at all, the computer will reset and rpm will get back to normal after a couple of hours of driving.

Thanks. I had the low rpm issue(down to 500 rmp) especially when turning on the ac. after the cleaning it the low idle is gone and engine is smooth 800- 900 rpm.

Be careful with your fingers. After i do the fix as show in the video i read on reddit that if your finger its in the way and the throttle close it can slide the finger with no problem 😅🙆🏻‍♂️ thanks god i read that after i finish doing the work 🤣🤣

THANK YOU! A friend of mine *just* got his Camery back from an (albeit unrelated) expensive mechanic visit and a day later it started to stall when idling. As a result, he's already a couple grand in the hole and this was not what he needed to deal with a day later so I looked into it, found your video, and within 15 minutes his car's running great again!

Excellent walkthrough, thanks! With the key on ACC, when you press the gas pedal, would that cause the computer to try to add gas as well to match the throttle body position? Can you leave the gas all the way down as long as you want with no issues?

My car idles poorly on drive and reverse gear with my foot on brakes, I feel vibration on my steery and dashboard while idling. It idles at 600rpm to 550rpm is this normal, with so much vibration n gets worse when I turn the ac on still on drive or reverse gear but reduces a bit when I put my car on park gear n vibration disappears when my car is moving n comes back when I come to a stoplight. I think, ama give this a try and see if it solves d issue.

After I cleaned mine, check engine is now on. Is that normal?

My 2015 camry le idles at 800 rmps when it's on park but when I put on drive or reverse it drops to 500 or 600 rpms and it shakes and the has turned off when I'm at a stop sign or red light.

Nice explanation. I have a problem with 2017 camry. It used to vibrate (as if driving on rumbler) when the rpm is around 1500. It runs smooth above and below that rpm. The mechanic diagnosed and replaced the front axle but it only made the situation worse. It occurs more frequently now and intensity of vibration is increased. Do you have any suggestions?

Hello! Please help, i performed the throttle body clean as you instructedon my Camry 2008, but now the car jerks when idle, especially when the car is in Drive and i have the brake pedal pressed. I've trid idle relearn procedure but no luck, any suggestions? I notice the RPM gauge is jittery and spikes up slightly. Car drives fine, but that jerking & shaking when idle is not normal, please help.

When the engine is warm and if I let the car sit for 10 minutes and restart the car, the idle drops to 500 rpm for 1-2 seconds, runs rough, and then the idle smooths out? Any idea what could be causing this issue? I cleaned the MAF sensor, throttle body, replaced the plugs, coils, ECT sensor and crankshaft position sensor, and it still does this. There is no CEL, crank time is short and no noticeable drop in gas mileage.

What OBD scan tool do you recommend?

Friends 2013 Rav 4 experienced similar issue. I cleaned maf sensor, changed battery. Keeps shutting off. Friend brings to Toyota mechanic and says its the throttle body so he cleans it. Week later, car keeps shutting off again at red light or stop sign. It’s not the throttle body! Brings Rav 4 back to me and I was going to pull spark plugs. Instead I check oil level. I checked the dipstick; there was no oil at all on the dipstick. I’m scratching my head. I ask: where do you get your oil changed at? Friend says Toyota dealership. I ended up having to fill with 3 quarts oil and immediately car idled better and rattle at startup went away. Took for test drive, car drove great and didn’t shut off. Simple but important fix: Folks, Check your oil level regularly especially after an oil change to make sure they put in the right amount. Go to a trustworthy place that will take care of your car properly if you can’t or don’t work on your own vehicle. I’m thinking either incompetent mechanic or intentional sabotage! 3 quarts short? Hmm. Makes me wonder! This mechanic is good though, I like the way he walks you through the repair. Good video and explanations paired nicely!

I did it, it isn't stalling anymore, but now my idle is high like 2k and I am getting code for "Air temperature sensor" PO113 and "Volume air flow sensor" PO102

@RB the mechanic. I notice a misfire at 1300 rpm with engine cold or hot. It idles good and smooth and drives good. Sometimes intermittently I’ll come to a stop light and the rpm’s will drop from 900 to 600 and returns to 900 as if it was almost going to stall. Any advice?

Hi there! My Toyota Camry 2014 has 75,475 miles on it and it barley started doing this. I noticed it doing it after I’ve been driving for a little and then stop at a red light or stop sign. It does it for a quick maybe 2 to 5 seconds where I see the needle want to go down and the car shakes and wants to turn off so I let go of the brake…..then it doesn’t do it anymore. Also, there’s no check engine light or anything. Can this be the problem?

I have 2010 toyota corolla. similar throttle body top right cornar there is a screw hidden in a glue type material. can you please tell me, what is the function of that. and how it help in adjusting a specific parameter? I have observed that changing the position of that screw make throttal pedal to respond differently and effect the drivability . I have an issue of poor idling. throttle body is cleaned. every possibility has been checked but could not fix the issue.
