How to install Android based 10-inch touchscreen display stereo in Toyota Camry 2012, 2013 and 2014 model years without original Stereo. In addition this unit allows to expand your Toyota Camry with Dash Board camera, Back-up camera and CarPlay/AndroidAuto modules, access Android PlayStore with tons of Apps.
You can use same instruction for removing or replacing Toyota Camry 2012-2014 Stereo head unit.

FYI- you do not need to remove the center console or the storage pocket underneath to remove the stereo. All four 10mm bolts are accessible by removing the two side trim pieces and the clock.

@@empireants3052 this isn't the alpine w650😂😂😂 it's a cheap Chinese Android headunit. Granted it's good for the price ($200). But it's not an Alpine unit at all.

Hi , the rear view camera is part of the wiring, once the wiring harness is clipped in properly to the back , the rear view camera comes on automatically...

So much unnecessary disassembly. Why install a new mic? Why not reuse the factory one? This is only model I've seen where a new mic is necessary, heck only one I've seen where GPS required such a bulky dongle (unless that was always skipped). What about factory functions found under settings? Are those still present?

@@ceevee7825 i ended up getting it. The thing upgrades the LE to XLE in terms of functions (difference is door open alert) You might need to dig some, but I've seen all settings present. My largest complaint is the static pop that kills Android auto

@@ceevee7825 i also didn't install new mic because it's a horrendous thing that would just stick out somewhere. There's a way to splice factory mic into this unit, but it's not recommended. Built in mic on the unit has been good enough. I haven't had complaints

Does anyone have issues with wireless android auto connecting? I find that maybe 1 out of 5 times it connects and the remaining 4 times whatever I try it won't connect wirelessly.

I followed these instructions to replace the OEM radio with another OEM radio and all the buttons on both the stereo and steering wheel worked (same with the aux power ports on the dash and centre console). Not 100% sure about the security alarm -- mine flashes as it did before but I can't guarantee it'll work perfectly.

@@JJ-ld3pe Hi, first is your replacement radio compatible with a Toyota Camry? If it's the OEM model, which one is it? (The number should be on the front panel, just above the cut-out for the temperature dial.) If so, try unplugging and replugging all the connectors.

Yes. Those are programs within the stereo unit that talk to the main engine computer to get that information.

@@rylford sorry I have not purchased it yet. Still considering it though. There are some slightly cheaper alternatives from the brand Dasaita on eBay that I've been looking into.
