Step 1: Roll the front windows down all of the way. This is for two reasons: A) It makes the first step of fitting the top of the door panel back on a lot easier (note the OP states this is the hardest step); B) you can tell right away if the new speaker is going to cause problems with the window.
Thank you very much for this video!!!!! Saved me a lot of money. I really appreciate you posting this. It is very detailed in the steps you have to take too.
Fantastic video! You did not rushed the pace, and showed what all the parts look like before proceeding to the next steps. Most importantly, video is very steady :)
Alberto Lopez If you're planning on splicing into the speaker wire, yes, you will need to disconnect. If you use an adapter, like I did, there is no need to cut into the wire.
Thanks for your useful videos for the Toyota Camry. Do you have a video for how to replace or remove the center armrest lid between passenger and driver seats for a 2012 Toyota Camry? Thanks.
i did a video on taking off the door panels on a 2015 camry, i explain how to put that lock handle assembly in place. if you look, there is a small slot, and the assembly has a plastic piece that has to line up and go in there, it snaps in. if you line of the screw hole first, then you will see the plastic piece that need to go through and snap into place.
Hi very nice video. I have the same car and the door makes rattle sounds when going over bumps or potholes. Which part do you think make the rattle sound?
thanks mate. I've taken it to Toyota dealer but don't think they even looked at it after leaving it there for a day. But it rattles when i makes a turn or going over certain humps/potholes.
On my 2011, it was the shoulder belt adjustment. I tucked a piece of foam on each side, and the door area is now quiet. I also took off the door pull cover and put foam pieces then put the silver cover back on (about a yr ago).
What size are those speakers. And where can I get aftermarket ones. Because if you notice these don’t have the big magnet on the back of the speaker. So any speaker won’t fit you have to get on with a small magnet
Hi, I have a 2012 Camry and the front right side door got side swiped. If I get a door shell, can I reuse the parts I already have since it's only the exterior that is damaged? I think removing just the exterior skin (outer panel) and replacing it would be the easiest way to go but that would require specialized tools, hence I'm thinking just replacing the shell is the best way to go. Any advice? Do you have any videos on how to remove just the outer panel (skin)? This will be my first 'project'. Thanks in advance.
Need to know what after market speakers will fit in the bracket???....also The rear.....in thought that's what your doing....but just reinstalled the factory crap!....lolz
Its part of the Schwaben 5 piece trim removal tool set. I got it online for around 20 bucks. I know that Harbor Freight also sells the kit for 7 dollars but I'm not sure if the quality is the same.
Thank you so much for your fast response, I also saw a camry se with xsp package, and heard dealers can sell and install those items. The dealership close to my home had no idea what I was talking about, have you heard about it?
please help, I'm struggling to take the driver side fender off on my 2015 avalin, there's a small piece next to the mirror which hides a bolt, I don't know how to take the piece out
jason yang 6 1/2 with an adapter and the back is a 6x9 in the back you will need to drill the holes to mount it or you can use the old mounting plate that is on the stock speaker and then use silicone to adhere it to the new 6x9 and then you will not need to drill any new holes
+Bryan M I'm sure it can but why would you want to? Removing the panel is not difficult nor time consuming. Better to do it right than to mess with splicing wires.
