Toyota Celica RA40 2000GT DOHC rally 1979 

Great footage of rally drifting! My 1st car was the 1981 Celica GT with the rectangular headlamps and i added wire cages over them. Some Celicas won champ rallies in Portugal and the African Dakar rally.

i can personally testify to the durability of this particular generation of celica.

Probably the best Celica they made, Had one for years....

oddly enough mine mildly tuned even with stock carb killed the sierra v6 gave the chevy 380 GSi v6 a run for its money & Honda 160i DOHC,,, Really strong & under rated ...

everything about this car is analogue. No computers to break. Toyota probably had to stop making them because they were built too tough and they were losing money. Same with the pickup trucks.

mine had 235k on before i crashed it and still sold it for 350dollars
