Will this be the end of Jeep? Jeep has been dealing with lots of problems lately but now Toyota is coming in with a new $20,000 SUV. This is huge news because it will be going up against Jeep’s best seller, the Wrangler. But that is not all Jeep has already been losing sales, popularity and they have been getting bad reputation. Toyota is aiming to capitalize on that. They already have the winning strategy, if we are being honest it is only a matter of time till it happens. Let me explain it.

$20,000 means $40,000 with dealer mark ups and trims that are actually being sold at dealers. The Maverick was supposed to sell at $20,000 but they sell for upwards of $40,000. The Tesla Model 3 was supposed to cost $30,000 but they were selling at $50,000. Lesson: Auto manufacturers will lie about pricing to get people excited about the vehicle then after baiting the excitement they will switch the price up to double the originally announced price. They're dishonest and should never be trusted.

Jeep used to be #1 in off road vehicles. They were super Reliable but now they’re owned by FIAT and have become Way OVERPRICED and stupidly UNRELIABLE !

All you have to do is take a look at any OFF ROAD recovery video and you will find Jeeps with broken axles, steering gear, steering boxes, you name it. People buy them and try to use them the way they are advertized and bam something breaks. The saying goes - "a Jeep will get you out there but only a Toyota will get you back home again". Very dissapointing for a company with no excuse to have substandard parts on a vehicle they have been making forever. I have always wanted a Jeep, but I don't have the nerve to buy one.

I own a 2019 jeep wrangler and I love it but thy are very expensive I paid 38,000 and that was used with 30,000 miles on it .....forget about the new ones 60 to 70 thousand which is insane this is the reason for the dismal sales

I was a life long Jeep fan. Sold my stage 2 TJ and wanted the 4 door but The new Jeeps are not Jeeps and are priced WAY WAY WAY too high. Looked into the Bronco since neighbor has one but they appear to be straight up trash. Hope Toyota comes through.

Jeep can go bare bones with it's wrangler but it had better solve its reliability issues. Also, Jeep could go cheaper with it's Avenger, to stay relevant. I like where the market is heading.

I have no idea what those car reviewers are smoking, but comparing mini LC to wrangler is just retarted. Mini LC will only compete with Suzuki Jimny. The only part I may agree is that people buying Jeep for 99% on-road use will consider Mini LC instead. I can only imagine how big of a laugh the Jeep offroad community has after seeing this review.

I want the mini Landcruiser in the Philippines with Toyota 2.4L turbodiesel engine. Wife wants a Suzuki Jimny gas hog much less practical vehicle. Not cheaper either...but they are capable I must admit.

Lol lie....all delearships have low sales and cost extremely high nowadays. Know this , even an extreme expensive Jeep 392s are still selling since it came out few years ago...yeah lol imagine that. The Wranglers have too many loyal customers. It's the only consistent brand with high resale value since 1941. Toyota is under powered all the time and over rated...good vehicles, but not enough.

If the mini Land Cruizer is just a re-designed Rav 4 then I'm not interested. I don't see the point unless the mini is far more capable offroad than the Rav 4. But with an estimated price of under 25K I don't see how that is even remotely possible. This whole Mini Land Cruizer thing seems like a bunch of hype to me.

I absolutely adore my 2015 Jeep Renegade. I'll drive it into the ground......unless Toyota actually announces that Mini Land Cruiser in a hybrid or EV model. I live in Alaska, I just want a rig that can get through the snow without bottoming out. Gimmie that tall, awkward, small SUV look and I'll give you all my money. Don't need a behemoth SUV because I don't need to compensate for anything, I'm not off roading or have dreams of MOAB - I'm one of those lame, paying, customers that wants something that looks a little rugged sporty but cares waaaaaay more about comfort than crawling.

Still to hawy end complicated end expensiwe,,,,try simply Neodium engine(( from an houme meuster from Balkan )) its cheep end unbelivable for next 100 years run time,.. With a smal high presure oil pump to centrifugal safe clutc on gear bix 7+R or extra plus puss reductor 14+2R the someting cosmic,,, Usefull ewend in P mode or in parking pkace to suply the power on diferent mashine generator watter pump aircompresor or anything for a need No tank fuel pipes no senzors ekectronics comlicated wires,,,no hawy engine or gear box,,no alternativa but if its a need its inaf the small ,,,no need a starter the Neodium worck constantly,,plus its possibile to start him manualy on simple hand rope... Toyota taking their time with technologies and engineering out the problems is what makes their vehicles top tier. SS Evs are beginning to show a lot of cracks while hybrids continue to get better and more reliable. I hope they stay smart and take it very slow with the primitive battery tech
