LOL. They fail to mention that hydrogen requires 2-3 times the energy to produce, compress, and convert to electricity in a car than an EV. In other words, for every 1kW of power in an EV battery you need 2-3kW of hydrogen equivalent. If you think global power grids aren't ready for the generation capacity needed to power EVs they are 2-3 times further away from hydrogen cars. This hydrogen car thing is totally detached from basic economics and science, it's starting to make me think it's the oil industries latest tactic in preventing their end. But, I'll leave the conspiracy theories to others.

Toyota's Mirai costs $201 to fuel up. It costs $8 to completely charge a Tesla battery at home. Please explain how Toyota in the future, is going to displace EV's, when the running costs are over 20 times greater.

That depends if the right ammount of hydrogen stored to start the engine capable of generating the power for both H2 extraction from water. Small amounts of H2 is far more volatile than gasoline, and way beyond kerosene. Think nitroglycerin.

OK, where does the hydrogen come from? It takes alot of energy to produce it which means electricity, which means burning coal in most cases. See the irony?
