Seems like the fine print can really catch up to you! This video is based on a customer's claims that Toyota denied coverage on their Corolla GR after its engine caught on fire. Their reasoning, in part, was that it had the wrong tires on it.

If a car is able to do something stock, it should be covered under warranty. I hope that's what courts find.

in reality, not sure why this isnt clear, theres nothing the dealer can do for that car, its an insurance write off.

My friends sister bought a new rav 4 from the dealer. Well the dealer never put oil in the motor. They only left what comes in the engine during freight. well after 100 miles the engine started to make noise. She took it in to have it inspected and they told her it was normal. so she left and within 20 minutes the engine seized. Then, the dealer tried to tell her it was her fault. it wasn’t until her boss an ex police officer got involved and threatened a lawsuit. they finally acknowledged there was a problem and made her whole by replacing the vehicle with a new one.

I’m not a Toyota fan by any means. But I did work at my local Toyota dealer for 11+ years. There’s no such thing as a freight oil level. The vehicles get delivered with all fluids topped off. They then get a predelivery inspection a.k.a. PDI. All of the fluids should’ve been checked. All four tires are deflated. Usually they are shipped at 70 or more PSI. So the tires will not flat spot. Random miscellaneous trim gets installed. Plastic covers get removed. under paneling mudflaps get installed along with other dealer options. there’s a very long checklist of 60 to 80 items. That require inspection. Some need programming & initiation. They then receive a road test of at least 2 miles. I would drive the crap out of them usually. Test the ABS, air conditioning, heater, wipers, seat, heater, etc.

It shows in the letter that the car has had front end accident damage a few months prior and even was just in the shop for a fuel issue. Either of those two incidents could have caused this. Tires have nothing to do with this incident

I get a lawyer and file a lawsuit against Toyota if it was my GRC. Making me feel like i don't wanna drive my GRC anymore. Best trade it in with another vehicle. Honda and Toyota are starting to become bad.

I don't know about Honda, but Toyota is failing their long loyal customers. Toyota allowing stealerships to mark up every single fucking vehicle, to include base models, is an absolute joke! I won't own another Toyota for a very long time.

Would love to see Toyota try that here😂😂 Here the law states that you should get minimal warranty as such what would make sense for that product. For example, if you buy a €500 piece of shit car you get 0 warranty. With a new car you can ATLEAST expect it to be good for the next 5 year/100.000km or more if the warranty states that. And if the specs say it can achieve X amount topspeed and it fails below that,its a fat L for the dealer and even if its illegal to drive that fast. (speeding has nothing to do with vehicle specs) Toyota got 0 chance in winning that lmao. And than comes the secret tracker without you even knew it😂😂 If they do that here, without very clearly telling you than someone is going to jail for it😂

Toyota Corolla GR is not as reliable as a Hyundai ionic5 N EV, or a Kia EV6 GT EV. It's time for Toyota's performance loyalists like me to leave Toyota and start a new performance relationship with Hyundai ionic5 N, and Kia EV6 GT EV. This new performance vehicles from Korea are more reliable and durable than their Japanese competitors.
