Hay can I get part 3 changing my cable now and running into sum problems when I shift from park to reverse it's good reverse to neutral it's good then to drive it kinda got a little play the stick wont stay in drive it wants to go to 2
Sorry it was awhile ago. I thought I put up pt3 but I don’t know what happened to it now it’s not there. Any ways once you take out the cable. Then part is putting it back together. Which ever way you pulled the cable out. Put the new one in the same way. Make sure before you pulling it out see where the cable sits between the parts. After that when you connect to the engine the shifter should be in the park position tight everything and that’s it. Sorry for the late reply.
I know this might be a little late, but I’m in the middle of doing it right now. And I had the same problem. The nut holding the shifter to the cable might not be tight enough. Put it in park and tighten the nut. That will significantly reduce play in the shifter while in drive and lover gears
