I've finally gotten around to doing the Hiace video. My wife is thrilled I can get the old cigarettes' out of the van now. (I'd been saving them for the video.)
Today we go over my Hiace, what makes it special, and more importantly, how they fit in to the larger JDM car culture.
I live on Okinawa, which has a large U.S. Military presence, and there are only two foreigners here with Hiaces. I feel like these vans are extremely underappreciated as part of the JDM scene and it makes me sad to see so many meet their end in a national park somewhere overlanding.
Here's to VIP vans.
