Great video for replacing the LED lights and close up shots of how to carefully remove light covers. What about the 2 interior front door lights, trunk light, or the sun visor lights? How come you didn’t replace those when you said you were replacing them all? Also I agree that you should turn off your interior light so you don’t have to worry about a hot bulb. Lastly, you should mention what size the bulb for those who want to buy the same bulbs for replacement.
I burned DOM fuse when was doing this. Replaced with spare one from under the hood. Now I am facing "key not detected" message on the dash, even when 2 keys in the car.
@@DansWay so I used small screw driver to pop up the cover of the bulb on driver's sunblock. I applied to much pressure and it popped off and the screw driver went into the bulb and I think it got right in between +-. So it got shorted.
@@KyryllHaponenko Ouch! So that's a bummer for sure. Causing the spark could also inject some very high voltages on the line which might have damaged the other circuits connected there.
Good point, there is a small light on the right wall when you open the hatch. I just walked out and replaced that one as well. You pry from the non-switched side to get the light module out. Carefully remove the white connector at the back. Then you need to carefully pry loose the three small tabs holding the lense to the grey plastic light housing to separate the two. Inside is the old bulb and switch toggle mechanism. Simply replace the bulb and reassemble. Works great with these bulbs: geni.us/Auxito_Interior_LEDs
best way to remove those lamps is just to put some regular old scotch tape on them and pull using pliers is not a smart way of doing that and could easily break the bulb and make it almost impossible to remove from the socket
There are 6 interior roof lights on the 2014-2019 Toyota Highlanders. There is also one on the right wall when you open the back hatch. These all use the same bulb: geni.us/Auxito_Interior_LEDs
Thank you @DansWay Also ignore all the know hows in the comment section , if they can do it better they’d make a video! I appreciate the info you provide!
I've heard it might be different on the 2022. I have a friend that is out of town right now that has the 2022, so when he gets back I'll take a look at his. If yours looks the same then it likely would match up.
