I'm 48. I've had Mr2s, MX5s, an S2000 and a Audi TT 3.2 amongst other cars and the IQ which I've had now for about 7 years has been my best and favourite car.
It must be catching. I'm 43 and I've just bought a 2012 1.3 litre IQ. One owner, 22500 miles, full service history, great little car. I'll just have to wait a few years until my son grows up, (and my bank balance) then I'll get a fancy German sports car.
This is crazy. I just saw your video and was laughing so loud. I'm 43 too I got tired of my Lexus Is250 since I don't drive a lot lately and 2 months ago in June I got an IQ3, 1.33ltrs. I have always wanted one and it's nice and fun
I love this car! I'm in my 60th, (in mid age crisis), thinking to buy one of this iQ, only concern, how other people would be react for this, I'm a big guy. What you think? 🤔
Very nice video. Love this little car. The best thing is the electric folding mirrors. Such a nice thing to have on a small car. There are some much bigger and more prestigious cars that do not have this function. + marks for Toyota.
Had a manual 1.0 litre about 10 years ago. Quite good on long journeys easy to park frugal and manoeuvrable . Needed something bigger otherwise would still be driving it.
I tested an IQ when they first appeared and was amazed by the turning circle . I managed several 200 mile trips without dis comfort. I believe they a diesel variant was available in parts of Europe . Accident wrote it off.
I had a latelife crisis and changed my 20 year old Corolla for a 2012 IQ. I love it but there are some issues. Blind spot as you mention. Vibration and rattling. And I have never managed to work out how to set the radio! Perhaps you could do a video on that as I have not found anything online that helps! Thanks a lot.
Excellent and funny presentation of this little monster :)) I am at the second IQ, first was 1.0l and second 1.33 last edition in EU. Very reliable car and fun to drive! Regards!
Hi, The difference gas consumption between 1.0 l and 1.33 l is approx 20% more with 1.33l. I have a personal record of 4.3 l. /100km extraurban, but day to day the mixed fuel consumption is around 5.5 l/100 km. My drive style is normal. :))
@@clarknicolas6780 like a bullet:) recently made a 3500 km trip on Europe in motorway....on 130 km/h and up....no problem! Two persons and luggage. Just you need to manage correct the vvti engine and gearbox and all is ok.
@@AutoStartTest 1.0 manual. With two tone interior colour. The one and only drawback with this car- poor interior light. And i have fixed that issue straight away)
@@AutoStartTest Ok) Very easy. Pull dome light out. Unclick all parts carefully. You will have in your hands separate board with led chip, and other small pcb board with 3 resistors and one diode. On that board you you solder little wire bridges on the back side. Because we dont need voltage reduction any more( original led is 3v) Cut wires which goes to led chip pcb board. Thats rubbish now. To those + and -" wires you solder(polarity not important) G4 led bulb. Brightness 200lm and more, dimmable type (thats very important)colour temperature up to you. I prefer 3000k. In original black plastic led chip casing you drill the hole( same diameter as new g4 bulb) all they through. Put it all together and.. Voila!
How do you start it, my wife has been left a key and no instructions? Desperate to know as she is walking around as a carer with no help as it is early morning?
Key I always have in my pocket, I have Kay less system, just touch the handle on the door and will be open, there is start stop button. If your battery in the key is dead you can open for the Kay manually but you will be not able to drive.
90% of my driving is around town. I've worked out that if I swap my Corolla for an IQ I'll effectively give myself a £1000 a year pay rise because that's how much cheaper it will be to run. Sure it's a compromise but £1000 in my back pocket is good compensation for lack of carrying ability.
ciao, bel video. Puoi dirmi dove posso trovare/comprare la copertura posteriore baule con clipper che inquadri al minuto 1:12? vorrei acquistarla ma non so come cercare, grazie mille
I want to buy a mini car for tight city parking. I already own a Honda Jazz, but I can't fit it into hmm... irregular parking spaces. I am considering a Smart fortwo, which is ideal size wise. But the IQ is cheaper and probably a better ride. What are your experiences people with parking in historical city centers? I see that it has a great turning cycle, but it is 30 cm longer than the Smart. On the other hand, it's one meter shorter than my Jazz. Advice is appreciated!
Great little marbles these IQ's. Question; how tall are you? I guess quiet tall +1.90m? Thinking about a IQ myself but I am 1.94m. Read on a forum you can do custom adjustments to the divers seat. Als different IQ years seem to have different drivers seat adjustments?
Hi, I'm 193 cm , unfortunately my iQ doesn't have up/down adjustment, but I'm still not touching roof lining in the car. The highest position is little bit uncomfortable when you driving more fast on the corner. Btw I'm waiting for hip joint replacement, so at the moment I'm ok with higher position but after operations I will be change my driver seat.
