This video involves replacing the lock actuator on a 2006 Toyota Sequoia. The steps should be the same for a 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra. The automatic lock was longer working on the passenger side, which is a clear sign that the actuator needs to be replaced. The part can be purchased online for around 25-30 dollars. Make sure to choose your vehicle make and model, and get either the right or left side. Hope this helps!

Remove the two bolts that hold the window track . The track will slide out if the way for easy access. Also use a flexible socket extension and go through the hole by the lock to access the hard to reach bolt holding the handle.( you only needs to take out the top bolt first to loose the handle, then you can take out the second bolt, once the handle is free.)

Thanks man this helped me a ton. Only thing I would add to it is to remove the lower bolt that holds the window track that's at the bottom of the door. I could not get the assembly out without doing that. I don't know how you managed to get it around and out without doing that, lol.

One thing I would add is you dont have to take the door lock or handle off. You can pop off the two clips that hold the rods in place to the lock until.

Just did this on my 2006 Tundra. Thanks for posting! I was able to remove the unit without taking off the door handle. The plastic rod locks can be removed by hand. I was able to get the bigger rod loose from it's mount using long hemostats through the grommet port.

I have a question. The actuator on the passanger side is locked out. In order to replace it, do you think it will be a good idea to change the whole kit up to the buttons on top where you lock and unlock the door

What is the screw size to connect the door lock actuator back to the latch assembly? I seem to have lost the screws

Hi, just curious which site did you find the actuator? I've been looking for a few days and can only find ones starting at $150 and up. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
