I just got my first taco! She's an 06 one owner in amazing condition. High miles (300k) but the chassis was replaced and pretty much everything else. In my eyes it's a brand new truck considering how crazy reliable the engines are. I'm amazed at all the mods you can do for these to keep up with modern times. I can't wait to upgrade everything.

Looks great in theory! I added the controls to my 2005 Toyota Tacoma, had to buy the modified airbag, original airbag wasn't for controls, and NOW had to change out the clock spring! original clock spring didnt support stereo controls. I have the ASWC harness from Crutchfield and another harness to match my exsisting wires to a Kenwood stereo. All going in this week! Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@My.Lame.Perspective I've noticed through a lot of videos that the Tacoma 05-08 talk about the stereo controls and the wiring. IF my 2005 isn't wired for stereo controls, is it a big task to add whatever is required? Maybe somebody has gone down this rabbit trail and can shed some light!!

Do you know if this can be done with a Series 100 Land Cruiser? Specifically, adding the buttons and airbag from a 2002 - 06 Land Cruiser to the steering wheel of a 1998 or 1999 Land Cruiser - and having the volume and control buttons work with an after-market Alpine double DIN head unit?

It looks like a 98 wheel could accept a 02+ airbag and buttons. To get the buttons to work with an aftermarket cd player you need an adapter too, I used a Metra Axxess in my 4Runner.

I think in your case you'd have to re-pin them or look for a volume button set that has the cruise control already integrated into the same plug like mine did, because I used the cruise control that came with my volume buttons. Hope that helps, good luck!

Hello, i have toyota prado 120, my steering wheel has audio controls. I changed headunit to android aftermarket, radio buttons calibrated and works fine. Or should i buy adaptors and change clock? Thank you!

@My.Lame.Perspective 9 месяцев назад
I had never even heard of the Prado 120 before, looks like a cool SUV though! I'm not 100% sure since its not a 4Runner, but it appears that Toyota pre-wired most of their vehicles so those phone buttons should work (according to some 4Runner forums I found.) Honestly I'd just order some online, try it, and if it doesn't work return the buttons. Good luck!
