It's good if they want to match Lamborghini's tiny sales, but if they want to be the sales leader again for mid sized trucks, they're going to have to adjust or offer rebates and discounts, something they haven't had to do before on Tacomas.

Imagine buying a midsized truck for the same price as a Denali just a couple years ago. Toyota have lost their minds. A bare bones SR5 is $46k! Their truck sales are about to tank like the rest. Good job Toyota!
I bought a 22 Frontier 4x4 certified with 8k on it for the mid 2’s. I had to fly 1300 miles to get it in Idaho but I still saved a ton. Dealerships in the Midwest think trucks are dipped in gold.
@@paulm6481 I did compare Toyota to Nissan. The 23 and prior were nice trucks. I found the seats way too uncomfortable and I am not a fan of composite beds along with what you get for the money Nissan wins hands down in my opinion.
Honestly who cares. People who have to have it will do whatever they can to finance one. Smart people will be able to get one without issue. There are plenty of more expensive vehicles out there and people buy them regardless of price. It comes down to if you are intelligent enough to live within your means or bury yourself in financial debt

I think that there are far better options than the Tacoma TRD Pro. It's a phenomenal truck but not at that price. The Tacoma TRD Off Road, Wrangler Willys, and Bronco Badlands are all equally off road capable vehicles in the $50k range.
Oh damn too late, I just dumped 75k into my favorite stocks and should get about $6k / year + compounding interest. At that price I always debate whether to turn that money into more money or a pickup truck that goes down in value. Not a very tough choice. For those of you who avoided being a YOLO and FOMO while you were young (20s and 30s). You should be able to repeat this process every 6 - 8 months assuming you bought a home, paid it off, and are debt free.
So it has basically everything my 2023 TRD Offroad has, minus a proper 6 cylinder engine...for $23k more than I paid just 6 moths ago. Neat. I'm glad my Taco will basically last forever, becuase there is zero chance i would pay that much
Better frame, fully boxed Better suspension. Better seating and real telescoping wheel. Better infotainment and tech. More fuel efficient. Enjoy your V6 but this new version is years ahead of prior gen.
This is American prices gezz. I'm in Canada so a TRD pro would be close to 80k. I can get a full size for that amount. For a truck thats built in Mexico i feel Toyota is ripping ppl off.
Toyota now has Lexus prices. What makes it even worst is you're going to have a turbo and battery to change at some point on top of the engine and tranny. Why do you say cent when you're talking about more than one cent? cents seem more appropriate.
I'm still convinced this pricing is a joke that toyota is playing on everyone. There's no way a midsize pickup with a 4 cylinder for 65k is a real price. Either its a joke or whoever wrote the pricing was on crack.
Good luck Toyota. I'm sure many will get in over their heads and buy these but I can't imagine they'll sell like their predecessors. Have they not heard that wages haven't kept pace with inflation and that houses have doubled in the last 10 years? Nobody can afford these trucks and then to take them off road and beat them up is just asking too much for most.

They need to make those stupid gimmicky suspension seats an option and drop the price 5k for those that don't want them. Even at that, it's priced much higher than the higher performing Ranger Raptor and even more than the ZR2. I think Toyota is going to have a problem keeping their sale leader title for mid sized trucks.
it’s a trap. all these incentives offered are a joke, don’t fall for it. we all should boycott buying cars and let dealers go out of business and force car manufacturers to sell directly to us consumers. it would be nice to not have to deal with stealership.
Unfortunately, we live in a double income society and flex culture. Couples are working themselves to death and have a mass great debts just to be able to stuff like this.

Toyota doesn’t make a ton of these higher trims. People already been paying $60,000 for prior gen. I bet Toyota will sell every one of these it makes at $70,000 +.
Damn. People must be idiots in continuing with Toyotas at those prices. They won't even make the 300k+ mile mark anymore with those mediocre engines (aside from the 2.7L NA being released in Japan on the landcruiser.) I'll buy 2nd and 3rd gens and will make them into better than "TRD Pro" vehicles with less than $10k before I buy this American taylored crap any damn day.
Look, Too many of you cannot afford the cars you buy. Tacoma being one of them. stay within your price range, get the base model . people getting upset because they STILL cannot afford one on a 7 year loan...7 YEARS and your all bitchin. All that means is your either broke, made bad financial choices before or living well beyond your means like 90 percent of people here. Get a real career make real money and better choices than go buy cars you CAN afford.
