I took my 2010 Camry to the Toyota dealer and they diagnosed my cooling sensor to be the issue of my temperature gauge going so high almost one line before it hits red, the temperature gauge kept going up and down and was never down to C anymore when my car was home all night before going to work!
My Toyota tazz fuel and heat gauge hits the top. Both gave trouble at the same time. Taking out the cluster is not too much work. Didn't inspect the resisters though.
Good video men. I have a problem with my Toyota Corolla SE Limited 1994. I repaired the speedometer and the tachometer by replacing the capacitors with others with the same values and it worked. It was restored to normal operation, but then after the gas meter stopped working, the needle went down to E. What do you think could be or have caused this failure?
Mine has been going up right between in middle and the H. I quickly turn the car and and switch it back on right away the needle is where it should be. I wouldn't think it's cooling off that quick. I think the gauge is messed up because the car hasn't bubbled or ran hot yet...I don't actually think..
TheDJGabizz even tough it was less before? I mean I am not sure if I moved it accidentally a bit up when replacing the plastic. But the old one was marking less. These stay marked when engine and key is off. Mine is a corolla ae100 diesel and replaced with a petro; one and other guages and bulbs works normally. Thanks
Ramon Montebello Yes, it whent right back where it was. So what you are saying is that you replaced the Fuel Gauge in your Diesel Corolla with one from a petrol? Please correct me if I'm wrong. What you can try to do is to fill up full tank in your car and then try moving the gauge up/down to the max mark. If this does not solve that problem, you should try to get yourself a gauge from another AE100 Diesel. We once had a AE100 but with a 1.3 petrol engine. So I am familiar with those cars.
