Hard to watch this one. looks like Sindhu has zero confidence. at one point in the match it looked like she was going to cry. Right now, she is just levels way below the top players. she can’t compete against them at all and will lose easily in the Olympics. The announcers are right in that she probably needs or play in smaller tournaments to get her confidence back.

I also think she needs to start working with Pullela again. Yes he is an asshole, but I think she needs him ( or another foreign coach) to get back to the top level.

Olympics will be pretty boring with so many players out of form, or not able to compete like the japanese players. But maybe the Olympic Games will not be held, who knows.

@@epoxone I think Marin has an excellent shot at repeating, although it will be difficult since she will be on Japanese home turf. But yes, I hope they don't cancel it

Sindhu looks like she's having a bit of a crisis in her mind at the moment, hope she can regain her resolve and fighting spirit. Who knows what might be going on in her personal life but she's very uncharacteristically wobbly mentally. She's normally a player that will rise to the big matches and perform brilliantly.

I was rooting for Ratchanok, but did not know if she would make it. Pleasant surprise. It went way smoother than I expected.

Sindhu gave up too easily (as if she had already accepted defeat before the match even started)... No drive and no confidence. Intanon played superb though, very solid surprisingly. Overall very disappointing duel though

Why Gopichand is not accompanying her for these matches..he is her coach so he could have been here and guide her through out the tournament and training the upcoming is very important but a player like sindhu should get more personal attention as was in 2016,17,18..there she was consistent..Lack of touch ,decrease in her pace of shots, movements in most departments was very clear here..But iam sure she'll bounce back as always..

What a magnificent display of badminton from Ratchanok. She is playing better than TTY at the moment. Looks like Sindhu need to trim down further just as gentleman Viktor and go to the Himalayas for inspiration and change of scenery.

my guess is pv sindhu was just very forunate at the worlds to win a gold medal.Watching her play in this match clearly shows she is way overrated

I would say go and watch all the matches in world championships she played fantastic. And a 5 time world championship medalist can't be overrated. This was just a bad day for her.

Also she only give good results in big tournaments mainly world championship, world tour final she never gives her all in superseries
