If you have the stock master cylinder, there is a bleeder valve on the master on the top near the booster, and it requires bleeding, after all wheels are bled. Since this is a year old you likely found that tip and got air out of that cavity.

Vacuum bleeders can really suck sometimes. Don't do the Teflon tape method. Running a little grease around the fitting does the same thing to keep the air from going through the threads. A better method altogether for one person bleeding is to pressure bleed. Grab something like the Motive power bleeder. It keeps the brake reservoir full while you bleed.

With those brake bleeder vacuum, there is suppose to be bubbles when pulling vacuum. You just have to pull vacuum for about 20-25 seconds at a time Twice . I have a snap on version and it does the same. If you don’t like seeing the bubbles, try the tool where you apply pressure at the res

I did on all of them except the 2 map lights in the front. I tried but it was too harsh at night. Thanks for watching

So, it has been some time since you did the installation. How has the brake pedal pressure now? Any changes that made it better?

When I called them they definitely were aware and shipped me the 05 Tacoma replacement version. Actually just took the coilover off tonight and dropping off to a shop tomorrow to get them swapped. Fingers crossed. What do you tow with your Tundra?

Will these brakes work on a 2001 tacoma with 17" rims?

So, you probably said this during the installation and I missed it, but the link in the description for the banjo bolts, are they the correct bolts or for the ones that snapped? Thanks for sharing this! I'm doing a brake upgrade on my sequoia soon.

Not a problem at all Dan. Yeah the ones I liked the most were the ones from Chase Bay. If I were you I would just grab a back up pair just to have for the sake of it. Throw them in your sequoia tool bag or something. Lol Here is the link www.chasebays.com/products/m10x1-0-short-banjo-bolt-zinc-plated Thanks for watching the video Dan and let me know if you have any other questions or want to see any other specific content.

Wow this is going to be so helpful! Did you have to modify the wheeler offroad lines since they're labeled only for a tacoma? Thanks again bro!

I did not have to, but have you ordered the wheelers offroad lines yet?

I'm not sure. They are sending me out the right ones so I'll have to do a video on the swap, but it probably won't be for a couple of weeks.

Can you use the stock rims if you do this upgrade?
@EvergreenOverland
@EvergreenOverland 2 года назад
Shoot man I can’t confirm this but I think so. I have stock wheels but also spacers so it’s hard to say. Come join the First Gen Tundras Facebook page to confirm. Geoffrey Beers the guy who offers them said they fit a 17” rim

@@EvergreenOverland I have 05 Sequoia limited OEM wheels, similar to your truck. 17″ diameter, 7.5″ width Do you think this upgrade would clear it? without the spacers? also what spacer size do you have on?

Never cared for braided brake lines, always had more issues than with stock oem Toyota brake lines.

Good shit man, didn't even know this upgrade, I have the exact same TRUCK. I'LL BE DOIN THIS UPGRADE HERE SOON.... My breaks haven't always been solid, been fighting that spongy brake issue too. Had originally upgraded to "POWER STOP" CROSS DRILLED SLOTTED ROTORS AND TOWING TYPE BRAKE PADS to help with any deficiencies. This should help do the trick.... as I'd asked though the PART # TO THE "REAR BRAIDED BRAKE LINE" isn't listed and the links a BUST.😤😤 WHATS THE PART # BY CHANCE.... THINKING THAT'S A HUGE PART OF MY PROBLEM on this damn thing.
