Functioning tail lights and brake lights are a must for any vehicle. It is imperative that blown bulbs be replaced as quickly as possible. The Toyota Tundra makes replacement easy.
My son smashed my tail light on my 2017 1794 Edition so I had to replace the entire tail light assembly. Found this video and saw how easy it was to replace. Thanks so much! It took me longer to find my drill than it did to change the tail light :)
I know this is an old video but I needed it today. Can't THANK YOU ENOUGH. 2013 Tundra brake light replaced in 5 minutes for $6 BY ME!! YOU ARE MY HERO! Thanks so much!!
That’s awesome! I still have this truck too. I’m about to video replacing the fog light bulb. Be sure to subscribe so you can get help with other things I fix on it.
This is why I like YT because everything now is being shared.Got a busted bulb on my Tundra rear tail lights that's why am here.Thank u sir n I save a couple of dollars for sure.Stay safe.
At the beginning it sounded like you were recording in Kansas on a windy day but it didn’t overpower your voice so all in all a job well done and I’m very grateful for your help!
I had to change my whole unit out as it was smashed. OEM was listed at 156.00 to 214.00 not installed. I changed it out myself using this video and item from Amazon $66 all in. Toughest part was unplugging the plug. Thanks for the help.
Awesome job. I changed my light in 5min it was cold out 29 degrees. Also buy and add light lubricant into socket before putting in light in case u have to change again makes it easier. Again AWESOME video. A++++++. Take Care be Safe. God Bless...
I knew I had a bad left turn signal because the dash indicator blinked unnaturally fast. I looked and the left rear housing was cracked and had two inches of standing water inside. Duh! I bought an entire new housing with bulbs for $64 from JN Auto. Dealer wanted $240. Oh, and thanks for the video.
Thx for the vid, super simple buuuuuuut. You got the order wrong. Turn on your truck and test the lights to make sure they are working, THEN screw the fixture back in. Murphy is always waiting and watching...
Noah Zork Thanks. I totally agree if you have someone to test them while you hold the unit in place. I prefer not to leave it sitting without the screws to hold it.
Alright so I followed the instruction and replaced my driver side tail light and it works perfectly but when I replaced my passenger side tail light bulb the tail light no longer works. All the lights work including the left tail light, both reverse lights, and both blinkers. I also checked the fuse labeled “tail” and that one is good as well. I also made sure the bulb works by placing it in the drivers side light. Any idea how to fix this?
2011 here, (just passed inspection) tail lights don’t come on, indicators and breaks work fine, checked fuses, found 15a missing (Tail/lights) replaced fuse still not working. Any ideas what the issue is? Thanks
Does anyone know where I can find the bolts? I've been searching and can't find it. Mine were rotted out. I had to cut a slot in them with the Dremel and use a flat screwdriver to back them out.
