For the damage not on the top- black sharpie will hide it pretty well. You'll probably always see it but it'll make it really hard for others to see. The damage on the top i'm not really sure about... I think sanding it down wouldn't be a great solution... I'd almost think some sort of filler. It's a tiny spot but a touch of filler and then light sanding and spray paint the area to match might work. I'm no expert but that's my idea. Unless you could find some sort of trim to put over it...
Thanks for the suggestions. ToyShock has reached out to me and offered a replacement back box :) They didn't have to as it's a personal import but it shows they care!
Getting mine tomorrow :) Even with the shortcomings, Im super excited to have a digital pinball cab in my game room. The kids will love it, and Im sure I will too.
Thanks for the review. I've ordered one of these. If you've not already fixed the damaged areas, you should be able to do so with wood filler, and a bit of paint. Not sure what the frame of the head box is made of, though. That also looks like some sort of filler would help. I'm with you, on the height issue, even though I'm only 5ft, 7. Being legally blind, I would rather have the machine a little higher, to see more easily. I'm sure I could cobble together some sort of risers for each leg, no problem. :)
It's a great little machine! They have also address the height issue in Wave 2 with adjustable legs.ToyShock was generous and sent me a replacement back box! Great customer support.
Personal import. Check out ebay seller Rlipsey23 who ships to Australia. Ive personally haven’t used him but a few in the community has and received their pinball safely. 👍 enjoy
@@ToyKade - Yer i`v heard of rlipsey23 from a few buyers, seems pretty reliable. I keep checking his ebay site out but it`s been a case of he has something and i`v no money or have money but he`s sold it. Always "only one left" then gone.
i really want it but there are so many issues. The new version they say the lag is reduced and the silver plate is about half and the other half is replaced with a black plate or black screen. However there are so many other issues. For me in Sweden this goes for $599 usd so about double the price as in the rest of the world. I don't like that there is so much wasted space, why did they do this. make it bigger or smaller, just dont keep that huge unused area. Also why make it so short. They completely missed their target group. Kids wont get a $600 dollar toy, this is aimed for adults and especially old fucks like me 40+ we want normal sized pinball. is there no talk about later allowing users to purchase additional tables? I can hear in the menu background that this is straight from Pinball Arcade the app so should be an option from go. Also do they offer version update via wifi/usb/ethernet?
MindGem, I would recommend waiting for the more reviews on the new replacement pcb (which has been delayed). The supposedly “reduced lag” is concerning, pinball and lag are two words that don’t go together. With competing products from atgames and Arcade1UP coming soon, its probably wiser to see how they perform. The flaws become too obvious over time and started to deter me from touching the machine. I doubt wifi will be a feature for ToyShock as they are more into reducing the cost and more an entry level product. 👍
Hi Jan, there will be other versions of this game in different art work such as Black Hole graphics. If you haven’t yet, watch my previous Toyshock video for the future designs released to the fans. Hopefully my next video will have more information on what is coming at CES.
