Great show!! 👍 Thank you so much for including us in this episode. We had such a blast when you came to visit, and seeing all the behind the scenes. You guys work really hard on these episodes and it shines through 👍
This is so good guys! There’s so much to love about this episode. The core reason why it’s so good is the genuine enthusiasm you guys have for the toys and how you drop in bits of history about them. It sucks you in - brilliant escapism. The outakes were laugh out loud as well. Especially when Gav keeps saying “welcome to episode twoshhhhhiiiiii”
So great to see you guys again! I got turned on to you by Plaid Stallions and I was hooked. I'm a teacher in sunny St. Pete, Florida...and it's been a tough stressful year. Just wanted to let you know your show has been a happy respite. Thanks and keep up the awesome show.
I've seen quite a few collections on RU-vid over the years, but I have to say, this is one of my favourites.. The variety, the rarities, and the presentation are superb. I wish I could say I'm not jealous, but I would definitely be lying.
You consider yourself a collector then you see this ! 😳😳 I can’t imagine how much that all cost . That is the most understanding woman the world has ever known, never let her go 😂😂
Brilliant episode! Some amazing collections and special pieces in there. Can’t wait for more. Have to say a special thank you to Matt for making the episodes so engaging for the toys and the entertainment 👍
So good Joe and Gav, really missed the on tour series so I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Loved seeing those Japanese toys - so cool! Keep up the good work guys
Really enjoy these two, great chemistry together. & Absolutely wonderful put together show, they educate you & take you back through a time warp. It's something not many people can do on planet earth all with a touch of heart. Many thanks for this
Bitter Sweet vol. 1- This fella is a collector after me own heart! We are the same age and we both saw SW ANH in the theatre. HOWEVER, I never saw the cantina scene because my older sister had seen it before me and covered my eyes when OBK sliced off arm Ponda Baba’s arm. When released for TV, I thought, “Now’s my chance!” but it was censored 😢. I was an adult before I ever saw the scene with my own two eyes! Keep up the good work fellas… You guys are creating content that will be watched and enjoyed for decades.
Brilliant show chaps with lots of incredible toys and what a high standard of quality collections !! Cant wait for episode 2 and cant wait to go to work tomorrow, you boys are inspirational. I have to mention Matt and the quality of his work too...proper telly 😁
Now it feels like a Sunday again!! Great to see you lads in a special tour episode. Some great collectors in this special especially our friends Dave and Camilla!! Good old Vintage Toy Rush!!! Brilliant episode Gav and Joe! Thanks for making my Sunday night great!!
Joe and Gav, loved this special you guys are absolute naturals and I can’t help but get jealous of all the cool nostalgic stuff you get to see, keep up the good work
LOVE this series! This is top notch in terms of satisfying the collector in me. I really hope this continues on, easily one of the best channels regarding collecting and the hobby! Excellent work as always guys!
Hi, guys! Good in depth video! I've recently taken a break from vintage star wars, and have rekindled my interest in micronauts. Good to see some examples to remind me what I want now! See ya.
A great special guys, thank you! What amazing collections (including the Mk1 Golf!) and nice to see you visiting Lawrence, I've had some nice bits from him (even shipped over to Ireland). My daughter loved seeing that Cindy collection as she got an ace boxed vintage Barbie tent set from Toy Planet UK in the past. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing the next special or season! 👍
What an episode boys, some absolutely gems in there. And amazing to see my good friends Dave and Camilla in the episode, thoroughly enjoyable to watch lads 👍
What a great video fellas , some really great collections you found , abd great to see more of Vintage Daves awesome collection, can’t wait for the next one brilliant stuff 👍🏻
Me too. Can't be doing with all that graded stuff. I like my collection to be fun. Not take it so seriously. Spending fortunes on rare pieces is driven by ego. I just want to have fun with my collection.
What a fantastic show. (are you watching BBC, ITV, SKY?) it's nice to see what other collectors have, and I'm sure they enjoy showing what they have off.
If you guys ever make it across the pond and find yourself in Atlanta, Georgia, you are more than welcome to come film my nook of late 60s-early 80s collectibles! There are quite a few collectors in the Atlanta area, including some of the best retro toy stores and Toy conventions in the country!
Gav and Joe seem like really cool guys, but if I had the chance, I think I'd rather have a pint with Matt. I love his camera work and choice of shots. That and the few times we get privy to his choice in toys, he and I are in agreement.
Another cracking episode, Some incredible collections. The camera work, the banter these are polished.BBC couldn't do any better. Keep it up.Whens the next one?
Waffles and I finally got around to watching this special and the shop tour yesterday, so good! I've missed going on toy adventures with y'all and cannot wait for the upcoming specials/season 2 As always the production quality is top notch Matt!
Just been watching a few of your videos, picked some star wars figures up last year dirt cheap and have had them sitting in the wardrobe, thanks to you I've got them out and into a cabinet. The figures aren't great but the rancour is in great condition and taking pride of place
another amazing programme, always good to see you guys on a sunday lunchtime, though now I really have to sort out how Im going to display my collection, far too much stuff in the loft!!!
Just moved to Germany, and not really able to access any UK tv, and all my dvds and blurays, and the collection, are being shipped here in the next few weeks. However, thanks for keeping me entertained with your very cool and interesting videos! I recently picked up a Roboskull, and sent it ahead to my address in Germany, and it is now held up, along with other items, in customs, and they want all sorts of documentation to clear it... I kid you not! Anyway, just a pity I didn't get the time to visit the shop before I left the UK but I will be back. Keep up the good work!
Awesome video guys. All those collection are incredible. Was really hoping u was going to show the woolworths Star Wars 99p 8 pack that I saw in the background! Never mind lol 😂
I'm pretty sure I had a Knight Rider Wrist Racer, I know I definitely had a Wrist Racer and I was a huge fan of Knight Rider as a kid,, but I can't sy for definite!
Joe! Come on mate… you’ve said to me, [basically] don’t be so literal… That MEGO Batmobile “may” scream poor quality but thru child eyes, it was an exact representation of the 1966 George Barris creation and why it commands attention! 🫡 Remember to laugh… I’m one of your biggest fans! 📣 🎉
🤣🤣 I had to check myself, I was totally judging the dude with all the Sindy dolls before I remembered I have a Alice in Wonderland collection. 33:09 not being able to tell if it's licensed or give exact production date while literally pointing at the Colombia studios all rights reserved and production date is relatable AF 🤣
Not a big fan of Kojak but I really love those toys for it, problem is it's the worst kind of rare that didn't sell well bitd so it's all arm and a leg pricing now like the Excel figure. True about "the bits", I've passed on a few finds in larger lots that I regret since they're the hardest to get that it makes one debate about "the long game" route. People can get so precious about cards even when the plastic is completely gone so for f*ck sake just clip off the dead plastic flush to preserve the art, file away the card, and enjoy the action figure. Vintage Toy Rush has a nice collection and some great restoration videos. Loved his Coleco Rambo and Henshin Cyborg videos as you get a good look at them. When they say anything about Japan historically it's worth noting they made some incredible toys. And yeah one hell of a file system. :D
We need to know the real reason for why Gav does not like The A- Team. Lets send the questions through to the live streams. Did Gav have a moment in his past which coloured his thoughts on the programme. Did he have a teacher at school who resembled Mr T who put Gav in double detention for playing with his toys when he should have been doing his GCSEs? We need to know. WE MUST KNOW.
