Great video, thanks Joe and Gav. I paused the video when it was showing Kenny Baker's receipt, he had a 0.125% share of Empire profits, made him a nice £164,000 by 1984. 👍
Great to meet you again Craig. Wish I could have seen your presentation but the filmmaking took over. Hope we did it justice, you could make a whole doc about the room sales.
Great seeing you interviewing some of the contributors, Christian and the guys at GW Acrylic are fantastic. That Palitoy Death Star prototype case looks incredible!
I was under the impression the swap-meet would be an urban legend running joke of sorts in this, not only it wasn't....Finding it was the best bit out of all of this!!!!! Great show, well done all of you.
I'll be honest. I'm not a star wars toy person. I watched this because I subscribed and was bored. I expected the typical sort of fare for toy shows, but this was a great video. Something quite different and interesting. I really appreciated the guerilla collector vibe towards the end. It was actually quite exciting to watch. I had no idea these things happen. Well done the editor - great job. I'd love to see more stuff like this from you guys.
Thanks very much, appreciate the sub and the comment very much. If you haven’t seen any of our other toy shop on tour videos then please take a look. Thanks again
Thanks Tuesday, it ended up all “Fly-on-the-wall” at the end but great to film and I think we captured the spirit of the Swap Meets… boy was it hot in there but some amazing toys. The fact that it appealed to a non Star Wars fan means a lot.
@@leicestervintagetoyshop cool thing we love about your channel we all watch toghter .you love collecting first .buying seconed .but you dont take to serious .and we do you love the toys first .no grading or mint sealed for us .just memories and fun
Brilliant video and nice to see Scuba 🤿 and Stu UTC! I did buy something from A1 Toys! Nice 👌 to meet you guys on Monday! That secret sale at the end was quite splendid! This video is top 🔝 notch!😎
Such a prolific trio of lads. Thanks for all the content you bring us all. I'd also like to mention how great Matt is at the camera work and I imagine the editing as well.
Thanks guys for putting that together, especially with you being at Celebration. Great to see everything that 's going on there and also noticed a lot of friendly faces that I haven't seen in a long while. If you do read this whilst you're still there do say hi from Ian to Billy, I used to chat a lot to him about Palitoy when I lived in Portland a while back, great to see him over with us. 😊
Thanks for doing that, really appreciate it and now I so wish I would have gone this weekend! Have a great time though and I'll have to pay the shop a visit some time soon.
Lovely stuff guys! Ime not that into Star Wars.....only the original 3 films. But I did enjoy this video and your videos are always brilliant. Fantastic work!!!! 😉👍👍👍👍👍
Honestly love these videos - brings you right back to your childhood - especially the cardboard death star which my mum paid up to the clubby for me!! Great job guys your content and manner in front of the camera is brilliant as is the quality of the video - really hope this leads to something great for you
Modern Star Wars has been pretty hit & miss for me, but seeing the joy of the fandom throughout the video was such a highlight, and you’ve captured the excitement of Celebration even for those of us not in attendance. Thanks for this episode! Looked like a blast. 🤩
It was great to meet you both today, its great that you had a successful con, but I have NEVER seen 2 people look so tired, you just looked shattered. What a great event though, such a good day.
Another amazing video. I especially loved the secret sales meeting in the hotel - such cool stuff! I am with Gav on this one, that Sectaurs artwork was just gorgeous 😱
was there on the friday and it was so crowded i completly missed you guys, it was a great event i do wish there were more retailers though, it seemed less then in 2016
Just sat down and watched that all great stuff chaps ! Captured it well. But no Yub nub booth 🧐😂 ( granted you couldn’t get to us as we were absolutely flooded ! ) good stuff as always chaps. Would of loved to made it to the room sales but was absolutely ruined after running the booth for 14 hours. Good to actually see what was there from your footage.
halfway through the video and its bloody awesome. I am not even into starwars but you make such good content. How in hell is this channel not passed a mil subs yet, especially with all the care thats put into capturing footage and each edit.
I’m going to wait until Monday night to watch this as I’m off to Celebration on Monday andI don’t want spoilers. I can’t wait! Looking forward to catch up with the TSOT team on their stall
Amazing episode! I couldn’t make it to celebration so this has cheered me up ..the palitoy Death Star acrylic case is something I’ve hoped would be made for a long time and a must have for me if released ..enjoy the rest of the weekend chaps and thank you ❤❤😊
Wow how amazing was that Palitoy Death Star display case "lid", neeeed it now! Sadly we've not been able to afford to visit swce23, so we've been watching quite a few videos of it and I have to say yours is so much better than everyone else's, the quality of it is brilliant and the presenters aren't bad either lol
6 minutes in this video and i'm already seeing more actual passion from you guys that 3 days of the people hosting actual Celebration. I can't stand those people that run official star wars, everything is 'cool' and 'nice' and 'Amazing' you know how it goes, thát tonation. i can't take that siriously since dinsey took over. Glad people with their heads on straight, walking through the convention letting people see that aren't brainwashed by disney how it's done. hope you guys had fun this weekend! (Why din't you get that empire sign Joe? if it was for sale that is.)
Great coverage guys and top marks to Matt for his awesome filming and editing skills - especially turning it around so quickly! Now, did that guy with the cigar in the back room deals actually light it? 😂
Really good. Fascinating, entertaining, and it looks amazing. I would be a bit rubbish there, as people in masks freak me right out. I'd run the other way if a Stormtrooper walked towards me. 😂
I would love a link to were you get your glasses from, I was the guy on Saturday who thought he was saying in his head ( wow! your glasses are cool) didn’t realise I was saying it out load 😂 loved this video 😍
4:34 Yeah they're not great films but they were made low budget as TV movies at the tail end of ROTJ when SW interest started to wain which is hard to imagine now lol. Just watching the old Droids cartoon again which still holds up imo, Sting sung theme song and stories written by Paul Dini of Batman:TAS fame. I still get a laugh from seeing The Power of the Force figures since that has to be one of the worst toy company blunders, attended my first convention and they're still cheap to buy. Luke and the gang abusing steroids.😆 10:39 Looking at Jabba's barge it's hard to imagine they made things that big at one time, these days I think they'd have to sell it in smaller sections like those BAF sets. 11:12 You laugh about the cars but I was just watching an old SW toy ad and it was just two vans with SW decals on them.😉 I'm not much for those brick figures but those Lego SW helmet sets definitely appeal to me. Always quite fun seeing the R2s, seen a lot of Droids coming off people's 3D printers lately heh. 21:39 Initially I didn't think much of the format revival but I think some of them make the most of it while others are crappy on purpose for some dubious retro aesthetic standard Ie. simplified design not worst design. The preschool line has some appeal, I want that Nubs.😍 The new retro Indy figures are crap but those ones styled like Black Series look pretty good, a nice expansion of that figure format into other films. That was pretty funny at the end with that meet, treating SW collectors as if they were drug dealers Ie. Boba Fett is a Class 2 narcotic.😄
As in Hot toys etc? Honestly not seen a stand featuring much at all. Some vintage and a few odds but seems strange that there wasn’t a specialist stand there 🤷♂️ Possible we missed something though?
Hi, it’s a weird crossover time I think. The vintage stuff takes precedent still and the modern Black series and vintage collection tend to be popular. But under our tables we had some clone wars, saga, aotc, ROTS, potf2 and even some episode 1 and potj! It’s still reasonably priced but after this weekends experience we’ll definitely feature it more. Every day is a school day!
