Toyz is such a positive dude I doubt he gets pissed off but he is always getting fucked by the judges. He so damn clean, original, and has mad flavor. Seems like every jam everyone but a few judges see it
3 reasons why I love toys as a bboy: 1. His style is ridiculously unique 2. He is humble 3.He seems like he always battles to have fun regardless of winning
That power-move combo that El Nino did at the start is one of the meanest I've seen. . . clean too. Although, I would have picked Toyz. He seemed to have more flavor, footwork, and style.
Toyz keeps creating some really difficult maneuvers that don't take a lot of strength, but a lot of percision and balance. I really like his explosiveness with his footwork. Very exciting to see his "out of the box style".
@truong817 i dont think so power gets boring really quick lol style is cool but i think we must have powermove basic footwork foundation and flava hehe
bboy events are more rigged than the NBA. Those judges pick their favorites or any competitor that resembles '70's style breakdancing, but sometimes you get fair calls. I say Toys should've been declared winner.
Toys and Niek seem to be the most friendly bboys around the both always seem to have a smile on their face. As for this battle I think there should of been a tb or Toys may have taken it by a tiny bit, both killed it!
@Bboykunomi judges have a system that they go by so as not to be biased. just because they voted for el nino doesnt necessarily mean that they personally wanted him to win based on opinion.
@FPSR0b3n yea, both bboys threw some great sets. If Toyz put more of his second set into his first set, he might have walked away with the W, but it's all good. Also, gotta love the sportsmanship at the end. true bboying is as much about respect, as it is about battle intensity
@truong817 the judges have a set standard to judge on not to be biased. they cant judge based on who's style they were feeling more during the battle. just because they voted toyz, doesnt mean they personally thought el nino was better.
Looking at this again for the ______ time. Lol. All I gotta say is El Nino was a monster in this battle his first set was well constructed. Toyz was on point though, he put a lot into his sets, and has some nice finishes. I definitely wanted a tie-breaker. Or, a win for Toyz if only to see what he could pull out in the final. Dope battle.
@RocZide234 I'm not trying to attack you or anything but I find your analysis really interesting. It seems like you were just looking at the basic moves each individual bboy did and not anything deeper. If you take a closer look you'll find the original ideas behind a lot of Toyz's moves, and that they weren't just some "very fast move" or "just airfreeze to suicide." Just saying.
Personally I liked Toyz better in this, but that is only because I'm drawn more to bboys that have character and show it big time. El Nino was good, don't get me wrong, he has a lot of power which is perfect for BC One. Its nice to see there wasn't any animosity brewing between them like some bboys do in battles.
damn son. this was hard. Toyz was fresh as hell. but El Nino was dynamic. they both did'nt really slip. and but i guess, the judges were looking at something else.
El Nino does footwork in this battle, I don't know what battle you watched. He also does power moves and freezes and throws in some energetic toprock. El Nino has sick variety. The dude is always dropping sets that have everything.
This battle was dope and it could've been really close and might've gone the other way but Toyz didn't really show a good display of his power. Hit footwork and style was nasty tho.
Personally I think toyz won but El Nino won because he went in harder. He may have lacked footwork, but he went all out with the long power sets. Toyz had dope footwork but it seems like he was holding back alot.
