@@MirrorFaith Yes, but I think you need this tutorial to do this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-doSmS8atKM0.html because you need to take connection from wi-fi and bring it to repeater's ethernet port.
I just want to asking can u do this way for extender totolink 1200m? I just want to know can i use LAN cable to connect the extender from router to secure my Internet a stable.
I’m In Australian and you’re video helped remind me how I set up in the first place my kids decided to play with eithernet cord while I was away and played around with the settings so happy I found your video got it all up and running again I’ve saved your video for future reference thank you so much.
Hi, I've been trying to get help from our internet service provider and tp-link customer service, but they never came. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. You have saved my time and life.
Amazing stuff.. thanks for putting this up.. really helped me out a lot !!. The amount of stress and headache u have reduced for us is great !!!.. Thanks a ton !!
It's absolutely wonderful that of the two videos that show how to use it as a access point, neither one has words. Yes I can read but not while I'm driving
@@trafegon can u just connect the access points Ethernet straight into ur computer? Or does it have to be connected to router/modem? And would I give better speed
Thank you very much. I need to extend my network to my garage where I make my RU-vid videos, and this is definitely going to help me do it. Once again thank you
Could i use that ethernet port and plug it to an old PS4? Coz my old PS4 doesn't have fast wifi connection and it is currently plugged straight to my router in my living room. Would love to bring my ps4 up to my room
The location where I want to put my extender receives weak signal. Will the signal be better if I connect it from the router with cable? Or it will just be the same? Thank you for the response.
Hi, I am looking to add an access point in my home but i have an isp default router. This means using TP links ap’s means I have to have 2 separate networks for the weak spot. I was wondering If using a tp link router would allow me to add access points on the same network?
I have tplink WiFi booster/ extender in my room and it has one Lan port..I want to connect couple of devices ..what should I do , can you share me your thoughts if Ethernet switch works in this situation..router is in landlord house..I'm renting and stays in attached house ..
Hello I had a question, please help If i use the Access Point TP-LINK TL-WA801ND_V1 Wireless N300 And use an outdoor parabolic dish instead of access point antennas, to send the Wifi 2400 MHz frequency, how far can I receive the frequency 100% without loss of quality ???
Guys, I would like to add a point here. I am a non-techie btw. During my setup as shown in the video I realised that the LAN connecting the repeater has to be a dedicated line from the main router. In my case the setup was failing since I had a split LAN line from the main router - one going to the repeater and another to my WFH PC. When I tried with a dedicated LAN line, the setup went through fine. Hope this helps.
I have a modem with a wifi connection with a certain SSID+password. Can I let the cabled TP-accesspoints send out that same SSID+password combination? I want to create a sort of mesh.
I have a device that creates a wireless network. It does not have an Ethernet port. Is it possible to create an Access point from its wireless network since it does not use an Ethernet cable?
I am trying to extend the wireless range of the top level of my house with this. I already have a wired connection on the top level. When entering a name to the wireless network of the TP-Link, can I use the same name and password of the wireless network that I already have in my house and that I am trying to extend, or does it need to be a separate wireless network with a different name? (I would prefer if everything is under the same network if it is possible). Thanks.
Hi pls reply i have new router change and i use this tplink already can i still use in the new router? Coz i can’t remove the wifi name it shows always when i search
Hi! Thanks for the descriptive video. I am trying to use this as an access point and was able to configure it as well as per the steps you mentioned. But every time either the maine router or the extender gets rebooted (due to power issues etc), I have to re-plug the LAN cable into the extender for internet to work again. Thats really annoying! Any solutions to this?
I would like to use it as an access point but it doesn't detect the Ethernet network. the cable is fine. Is it possible that it is not compatible with my Huawei router? Thank you
Hi I have a question. How much difference of speed compared from your main router if you connect lan to your pc how much download speed you get? Is it the same 6mbps like the extender?
We have 100 Mbps internet but the modem is in the hall. My room is at the back so there is no internet access. We got Xiaomi's Wi-Fi booster too. I have internet in my room but I can only get 10-15 Mbps. There are many ping problems in games, especially in Valorant. This Wi-Fi booster is deploying 2.4GHz. I wonder if I would benefit from buying this 5GHz TP-Link RE305?
Excellent video, nice and slow, well captured, I know things are different in USA and Canada, China etc but my normal modem / router puts out generally 390-500mbps on wireless and sometimes drops to 200mbps, wired gets me 900 Mbps down but when I add in one of these tp-link RE450, as access point speed drops to 80-90 Mbps, almost the opposite of desired effect .. any thoughts. Also on a side note, where and how did you set up your laptop theme, beautiful and clean looking , runs a small bit of Apple Mac icons and themed buttons ??
I believe it's because the ethernet part on these are only 10/100,meaning they can only give a max speed of 100mbps...but if you find an extender with 10/100/1000 ethernet port they can give speeds of upto 1000mbps
@@abdullahessack2383 Thanks for coming back to me, now that I think of it, my tp- link extenders were the newer 1750 ones...also had the gigabit extenders. Have since put in a trio WiFi 6 Huawei 3000mbps system and in my workshop I'm now pulling 600mbps down on WiFi, sorted. As per previous question any links or video on how you got such a beautiful desktop theme and icon pack for your pc ??? Any links sure would be appreciated. Happy new year.👍🎉
of course it can use to extend wifi network thats what it does. But nobody explain either the LAN port can use to connect to computer using LAN ethernet( computer without wireless card).
It 'should' be faster in a LAN connected AP mode over wireless repeater mode - this guy shows it well ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GY1E5PnRjsY.html
@@colbymcnally9402 How have you linked up your unit to run in Access mode? i.e. have you run an ethernet cable to it direct from the router or something else such as route the signal via a powerline adapter? I suspect the speed you're getting out of the unit is more likely a result of your internal connection? It seems it's capable of delivering a solid and fast output. My internet speed is about 60 Mbps - I use powerline adapters to route the signal around the house to dedicated WiFi powerline units - and in this case to a non powerline adapter which I've connected to this unit via an ethernet flylead. I lose 2-3 Mbps routing around the house that way as powerline is not an optimal way to do it - but nothing like a drop by half? BW
@@jamestrueman3462 it's in Access mode. I have a 400 mb package. I run a ethernet cord that runs from router directly to the tp link . My wifi at the access point on 5g is around 110mb. Everything works fine , you just don't get the high speeds at the access point.
@@colbymcnally9402 OK - that's a drop. Are you getting 400mb sync at your router - what's your router WiFi output? On that package, I wonder what you'd get in repeater mode?
Why such a slow down load. I set mine up as a access point and while my router pushes over 100 my access point get at the most 20 connected via Ethernet cable.
In other words, I can use it as a wifi access point without connecting to a common router for example via ethernet network cable. Instead of configuring the wifi repeater settings for my connection. Can I connect without problems using the ethernet on my pc to have a wifi access point due to the settings you made in the video? If possible I would like you to answer me as soon as possible. I should buy it later this month
