Great video it helped alot however i have a question. I connected my extender to a network switch to give myself internet to an outside summer house and made it an Access point by watching your video but the devices that are connected to the network switch now use the extender as the main Wifi not the origional router. Could you help explain this?

@@radu97theone1 if you haven't resolved it yet, try doing a factory reset. then assign it a static ip address on your router. then do the initial setup (after factory reset) as an access point.
Does it mean I can connect a 30 foot ethernet cable to the tp-link into my router and have the tp-link upstairs providing wi-fi? But using the Tether app for set-up instead? My wi-fi is terrible upstairs and where I need to plug a tp-link is out of range of the router.
