Rifles like this are the bread and butter of what we do. Everything on this build is top notch, the machining is flawless, the components are assembled with the utmost care and precision. We build these rifles to be elegant hammers. They are beautiful to look at, but they are willing to down and dirty.
Let us know how we can assist you with your next precision rifle build.
Thanks!
Shawn

Amazing rifle! Best of everything, including the case! I need to put that closed cell foam in mine. I took a carving knife to the egg crate stuff that comes in them, and it has not held up well. Thought about the new Magpul inserts, but I think some closed cell like you use looks nicer. Can’t wait to see your hand loading video series. I’ve loaded my own for several years, but I still love the opportunity to see and learn new things.
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc
Thanks John. That's a good example of the quality and attention to detail I put into everything that comes out of the shop. I'm typing up some of the topics for the reloading series right now actually, should be really good! Thanks for watching. -Shawn

@@triggeredprecisionmachinellc thank you Shawn your a true master at your craft. You build the best long range precision rifles there are. This coming month is going to go by slow haha it’s a long range big game hunting machine that’s for sure

Nice rifle! I would love to see a break down of the weight.
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc
I can work on that. We hit that weight mark without even trying which is nice, the combo of the Manners stock and the medium / heavy profile barrel worked nicely together.
@audieladd2476
@audieladd2476 Год назад
Very nice! Did you have to bed the Manners Stock?
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc
I did not. I've only had to bed one Manners I used in a Remington 700 build. The old 700 action had some warp to the outside that wouldn't let it sit flat in the MCS mini chassis. I always keep that as a option in my back pocket in case I have a wonky action or can't get the accuracy dialed in. Thanks for watching! -Shawn

@@triggeredprecisionmachinellc 10 4. Got 140vld like 5 factory 147eldm and few 140tgk which I like best just wanna go lighter n faster with a few and definitely have the heaviest available too. Always had a thing for bullets and like havin a variety to choose from..got some killer 55gr blitzkings .223 shot .43” prone off my sleeping bag front and rear rest protocol lol. 1 bipod that I swap out on .308 and prc..doublestar upper on m&p lower I’ve had since 08..text me when you get time..I’d like to shoot you some pics of loadin,shootin, and lrrping in eastern ky..lol.

Have you tried magpro Shawn? Seems like my 6.5prc likes it a little better than h1000..I’m skittish about compressed loads and anytime I can get good groups with ball powder I like it where I load to 2.95” and 2.80” for .308…that’s the very scope I’m lookin hard at to have range and not make my LW Huntin rifle a heavy ass yard gun…lol
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc
Hey Matt, You know, Magpro is one powder I have never messed with. I know a lot of people like it. If I ever see it on the shelf I'll be sure to grab some. I'm with ya on the compressed loads, I avoid that like the plague. Check out those March Scopes. Nice and light and great glass, but pricey - right around the same as a nightforce.

@@triggeredprecisionmachinellc already been on em. Lol. Got any valdatas? Or old premiere before the tangent come in..? The 5x45 S&B would be a dream but man no warranty! On a $8k scope! Nope. I love vortex and there warranty. My pst took a lick and survived so.
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc
Great minds..... I've never had a Valdata but I did have an old "pre Tangent" Premier which was a fantastic scope. Never should have sold it. I think I may run a March on the 338 Lapua Improved ELR build I have coming up :)

Come on bud, even my next door neighbor that's into collecting vintage jaw breakers knows custom ANYTHING starts at $4k. Easy $6k-$7k. I put together my own rifles and by the time I'm done, they're $6k. That rifle in the video is cheaper than a 59 Reissue Les Paul, that's all I know.
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc
Custom rifles cost more. You get what you pay for.
@justice1327

@@lelandgaunt7130 Fully aware of what my 12 full custom rifles cost and my 17 semi rifles cost. Big difference between 4K and 7K. Most all rifle builders are about the same price on components…it is their labor rate that you pay for. Would I pay the same or higher labor rate to an unknown builder V one with a proven track record… No

Thanks for the comment. 👍🏼

Killer! Thanks for the info on the load development. I was wondering what to use for powder if I can find it, but since I still have some H1000 left, as soon as my 220gr Bergers get here, I'll see what it takes to get me to 2950fps or so. Great looking rifle, well done!
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc

Hey Leland, it surprised me but I have no load data for the 220's in the Norma. I have data for 215's and 230's, but no 220's. If that info is useful to ya, let me know and I'll email what I have.
