TR #34: Why buying a New American Standard Madera Toilet is a Waste of Time 

I personally think these perform well when they're on a good pressure, but when they're weak, it's a different story. I would still go with a different flushometer toilet like a Kohler Highcliff Ultra or a Toto Tornado Flushometer toilet, primarily because of the other issues you explained in the video, such as quality control.

I only like these for the noise reduction. The old maderas from the 90's were a bit better, though similar quality to a flushmate toilet

Now The Hinge That Is On The Left Side (When U/You Stand-Up At As To Face The Game Commode Toilet); Right Side (When U/You Sit-Down On The Game Commode Toilet) That Is Broke/Broken, Now That Game Commode Toilet Seat On This Game Commode Toilet Is A "'False' -'C'" &/And So For That It Definitely Needs To Go "Down-The-Drain" "To 'Hell'"!.

These are the world’s most boring toilets.

Just like a blowout toilet, these things require high pressure water to be good. I'd rather put in a Kohler Highcliff Ultra.

These toilets are God awful!

easy answer to why they’re everywhere, they’re cheap and name brand. these perform fine but i would never install one on a lower pressure building.

I so agree about the survivability part my Walmart used all of the American standard fixtures back in 2021 then the one in the handicap stall has gotten REPLACED with a Kohler Highcliff ultra!

I even had the American Standard Madera at my old middle school and high school, the Madera is known for replacing vintage toilets (not always the case though). The Madera is everywhere and most toilet enthusiasts in the toilet community don’t like this toilet (not all toilet enthusiasts) the design isn’t terrible but not the best or the worst. The flush is satisfying depending on the water pressure but it’s still not the greatest toilet in the world, survivability isn’t very good and I’m not buying this toilet at all and never ever will

Still the best selling commercial toilet in North America, which is what makes them so boring since they are literally everywhere.

Wow. I knew these are bad but these seem really awful .are also extremely boring. The ones at my school constantly clog on small things. The 1.6 ones seemed better.

These are not the greatest toilets still made today but it's a normal commerical toilet the way i see and yes they are so boring and that's the reason why there so boring because there are everywhere now and this generation started as a last 1.6 Gen in 2006 with the oneline logo meanwhile the other 1.6 was still made at the same time but redesigned to a more of a skinnier tight trap trapway the oldest i found out of this is believed to be 2008

These are okay unless going deeper for replacing something good.

Preach, ive seen a 2010-14 assdera with so many cracks for no reason. Cant wait to see what the Mr DeCeNt has to offer
