My mother may be getting a tracheotomy, she has had copd and is currently in ICU after a fall that left her with 10 broken ribs and pneumonia set it. Shes was on oxygen but formed pneumonia so was placed on ventilator for 9 days. They removed it bit after 2 days she was put back on. A trach may be what saves her life and I'll be the one to make that decision soon so this video was quite helpful thank you!
Cam Shaw my dad is getting one tomorrow because he had a stroke and was intubated.. but when they tried to extubate him, they said they are going to do this.. I’m scared cause idk what to expect.. is this temporary or how does this work??
Iam also having tracheostomy last 3 months bcz of stridor and vocal cord paralysis so can I able to eat after removal of tracheotomy tube and can I able to talk after removal of trach tube and can u please tell me any complication after removal of trach tube
