Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, formerly known as Mosport, is considered the crown jewel of Canadian race tracks. Opened in 1961, the venue has hosted some of the greatest names in motorsports history. Clark, Hill, Villeneuve, Hunt, Lauda, Fittipaldi, Brabham, McLaren, Surtees, Moss, Andretti, Icxx, Stewart, Unser, Foyt, Gurney, and Petty to name a few. In total, 16 Formula One World Champions and 10 Indy 500 winners have raced at CTMP.
From 1967 - 1977 it was home of the Formula One Canadian Grand Prix. Series such as Can-Am, Champ Car (IndyCar), World Superbike, Trans-Am, Formula Atlantic, and the NASCAR Truck series have all made appearances.
Today, along with the SCCC and Emzone RCC, CTMP's yearly calendar is highlighted by visits from IMSA and the NASCAR Pintys series. It's one of the few 'old school' circuits that remains relatively unchanged since its original construction. Known globally for its high speed, changing elevation and blind corners, it's truly a track that still requires as much bravery as it does skill and tests the best of drivers to this day.
