Explain how is tye M5 different from the Nismo Z-tune GTR. Theyre both performance versions of each auto manufacturer.

The M5 E60 is stock on 507 HP , with a weight of 1870 KG , rear wheel drive and a heavy V10 , so it ain't made for the track , while the Nissan isn't stock , it's tuned actually up to 500 HP , with all wheel drive , and weighs about 1600 KG .. even in it's stock status , it can still beat the M5 on a track ( on paper ) .. so be subjective when you watch anything, don't be such a childish fan 😏 the M5 ain't created for a track race and the GTR is tuned , not stock for that it's the camera car because it can out speed all the cars on the track . So the big thing was the M5 managing to stay in the lead for a long time and coming in second behind the M3 CSL . You can still tune the M5 since it's stock , it can go over a 1500 HP

This man is famous, it's Keiichi Tsuchiya, a legend, the man who literally invented and made popular the drift as you know it nowadays. He was a real street racer that reached the world of Pros. This man is like the Ayrton Senna of Japan !

E60 M5 is always underated too... Really good car. When the gearbox works... same for the M3csl. When they work, good cars 😅

Dude, the Japanese's narrator said at the beginning, the GTR R34 was a camera car. The full video of this show displayed the TA times, and this GTR was easily 5 secs or more faster than the other cars.

@@sein7381 That's not the reason why it's tuned ! This an official limited special stock version. It was to celebrate the 20 yo of Nismo. This is a road legal racing car as some other brands had done in the past.

When your being pressured from behind, you either let them in on the inside of you or you gotta hit the corners hard and fast. They were really pressing him from behind so he had to hit those corners much faster than what would've been optimal - resulting in those drifts, or else he would've had to surrender the inside going into the corners - in which case would've been passed up anyway. He really held on extremely well.

The reason the m5 didnt win is because the guy turned off the traction control.. witch results in drifting, and that's why they passed him.

Nissan might not be a big seller in the west but I recently read an article stating that Nissan outsells toyota and honda in Aisa. Infact Nissan is ramping up production to meet demand. So. Nissan is still around and will be for quite a while.

@@Franc39A6DD And so ?! The CSL is not match for this R34 GT-R Nismo. Even more, the GT-R only run with the street legal ECU program. This special GT-R Nismo Z-Tune was delivered with a laptop, allowing their customers to setup the car as wanted. There's a racing Map program given by Nismo inside the laptop, the car in few minutes would be going from 500-525 HP to 630-650HP.

@@Franc39A6DD Btw, this GTR R34 was acting as a camera car only, the driver didn't pushed it hard at all, otherwise he would have flew away from the others. This GTR is very famous, only 20 was made, it's racing car sold as a street legal version.

It looked like he maybe cooked the tyres from how the back end was swinging about at the end compared to the relative composure at the start.

you don't hold a drift for that long unless you want to. The driver was just having a good time and fooling around. No way he didn't do it on purpose.

He had to. Those tires were running out of grip by the end. The last two laps those tires were done. That’s why he was sliding. Not by choice.

Yea bmw messed that engine up but same problem is in M3 e46 engine. And once you change rob bearings they bullet prove. I'm in USA and own a manual version of E60 M5 and its an amazing car.

The CSL should have a bit more power yes. Its chassi could easily manage a more powered engine.

Nah that was the purpose of the car. To out compete the cars that lay close to it in terms of power and weight. As far as that goes the CSL was great and still is. Very good car for it's time

Plus I think the only reason the m5 is 500 because it reached the size status of a gran tourer if I had to guess

@@JackKello No I don't think so. BMW cars are famous for oversteering badly with too much power, so a CSL with 500 hp would just been a pain in the ass to drive. The M5 is more heavy, so it was able to handle such power, at that time the brands wasn't using very advanced electronic differentials.

This GTR is a road legal racing car, none of the car present in the show was a match for it. This GTR finished the 24 hours of the nurburgring in the overall 6th position of all the categories. Pretty impressive ! In this show, the GTR R34 wasn't even running at its full potential and power, so I let you imagine what happens when you unpacked the 630-650hp with the ECU in racing mode. 😆😂 Here she was only running at 500-525 hp with rev limiter at 7800 rpm, when in 630-650hp with rev limiter at almost 10000 rpm, it's a whole different story ! In another episode, even in its lowest power mode, even a murcielago didn't won against it ! So don't tell BS when you wasn't aware of what kind of monster machine it is ! 😉😎💥💯
