For me, Rubber Soul wins! I like all the songs. I have both on CD. Revolver is great too but it took more listenings for me to like it. The only song that I didn't like in Revolver is Dr Robert. Also, the sound quality in Rubber Soul is better.
Well all right!!! Full disclosure: Revolver is not only my fave Fab album......I think it is the greatest/most important rock album of all time. Having said that, Rubber Soul is also an obvious classic. I may have said this before.....but disagreeing on music is fine. There are lots of "right" answers. And when we're talking Beatles songs......it's like trying to determine what Corvette looks the coolest. My picks: Yellow Submarine (better Ringo song); Run For Your Life (great guitars); You Won't See Me (more of a group effort than Rigby); I'm Looking Through You (although this was VERY close); Dr. Robert (another very tough pick); Got to Get You Into My Life (not a difficult pick for me....this is my fave Paul song on Revolver); And Your Bird Can Sing (killer guitars and harmonies); For No One (even though it's only Paul and Ringo); Here There and Everywhere (even though I REALLY wanted to pick The Word); Nowhere Man (a top ten all time Beatles song IMO); If I Needed Someone (a great early Harrisong); She Said She Said (again.....guitars); Tomorrow Never Knows (if you know, you know); In My Life (one of the best songs that defines why the Beatles are the Beatles.....although it breaks my heart to turn down Taxman) Great video once again!!
Evidently, I have been hanging around in this lobby for quite some time because I remember that original comment. I remember thinking it was a good idea, but godDAMN, that’s a lot of prep… You pulled it off, though. For the most part, we agree on these, but only because, for the most part, we rank the albums differently. It’s super easy for me to pick She Said She Said for example because it and Tomorrow Never Knows are my two favorite songs on Revolver… Nicely done, Paul!
I remember people saying how Sgt Peppers the Beatles best lp, then bought Revolver and heard TNK. Blew my mind too, still does. You then find out the same people raving about Peppers had never even heard Revolver.
Dude I'm sure you've heard these already the Beatles Red And Blue I hope you have heard them if you haven't I swear to God man you will not be disappointed the mixes are Beautiful the clarity of the songs are incredible
Nice video. Going with your lists, I would have chosen 8 from Revolver 8 and 6 from Rubber Soul. Many of these were very close. I think I agreed with six of your choices. Michelle was a tough choice for me and so was She Said She Said. 14) Yellow Submarine 13) Good Day Sunshine 12) Eleanor Rigby 11) I'm Looking Through you 10) Girl 9) Got to Get You Into My Life 8) And Your Bird Can Sing 7) Michelle 6) The Word 5) Nowhere Man 4) I'm Only Sleeping 3) She Said She Said 2) Tomorrow Never Knows 1) In My Life
This is a tough one and are both strong Beatles albums but I'm going for revolver because it's the start of the Beatles that I personally like and revolver is a darn near perfect album
I can’t even remember what the original order is without looking. I think peoples favorite orders would be different to making the head to head competition different. I know you do albums everybody’s knows because you want people to recognize the album and click. How about a discovery head to head? You might not know about these two albums but I think they are both good and let’s see which one you think is better.
HI, I pretty much agree with your ranking, i have to admit i haven't listen to some Beatles album for a while, at least a year, i got fed up a little, i prefer the KInks at the moment. Anyway, the white album is the one i never get tired of. I hope you'll do a Bob Dylan best of or a ranking vs
I'm a new subscriber and I absolutely love 'playing " these track against track with you, it is sooo hard on some of these choices but I am right there with you trying to decide and agree on so many, , some even by a smidget, so much fun ! Also you are so cute , so that makes it even more fun to watxh 🥰
Imagine if if Run for you life had decent lyrics, then i think it would have higer status. (I don't care about the lyrics, I just love he fantastic sound, killing guitar riff/solos)
I enjoyed this way of track by track more. Good idea. I’ve never been a great fan of Rubber Soul and Revolver is my favourite most days. RS wouldn’t stand a chance of winning with me :).
You haven't lived until you've heard this version of Yellow Submarine ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1LOjW-AV8fQ.htmlsi=hkTN_1Q4x7Rzl_pK
What Goes On Run For Your Life You Won't See Me I'm Looking Through You Doctor Robert Think For Yourself And Your Bird Can Sing For No One Herre There And Everywhere
Revolver: each song amazing, maybe yellow submarine, not so good. but it is such a classic. What goes on is just a bad song very bad recorded. worst beatles song and worst recording. Revolver is the much better album but In my live is the best song at all. After he says Elenor rigby is 12 or 13 I stopped watching it. this is stupid to say! Think for yourself is really a weak tune,
