I start the day off only finding flour gold. I bounce between a few spots looking for larger gold. #gold #goldpanning #prospecting #prospectingforgold #goldprospecting #oregon #panningforgold #pnw #westcoast #adventure #goldmining
As usual good videos! Waiting on the thumb sized nugget :) I linked a friend to your videos who lives about a mile north off main road leaving there and he enjoyed it. He takes his grandkids around that area frequently. He says other people he knows who pan around there pan the moss/grass and find quite a bit of fine gold in that. I'd like to see you go up the bank between 70'-100' from current river level and see if you can find round gravels from earlier river flows and pan. But, haha I am not the one hiking up the steep banks and I know it is hot and crispy down there!
That's awesome, hopefully I see him arround sometime :) I'll keep an eye out for a trail that can take me up the hillside, I'm willing to go up there and poke arround haha
I have a suggestion for you. Take yourself a portable battery-operated shop vacuum with extra batteries. Go over each previously worked crevice. I believe that you will be extremely excited.
I wish I had a spot like that, my best one day total is 1.1g in south east Queensland Australia. You might be throwing out nuggets in your classifier, tip it on some bedrock and check with a detector or by eye at least. Good luck and golden pans !
@SkovianGoesOutdoors yea I'd like to make it out that way at least once before summer is over and hopefully find a spot like that. Keep up the great work. Heavy pans
@@SkovianGoesOutdoors You can bullshit yourself but you can't bullshit me - Just getting access to where you are digging is a great skill in itself - You part mountain goat man
great films tks !!! one film you took a bucket of fines home,,,try a double trash bag in a back pack ,,,you;ll be more stable walking an easier to carry it home ,,,enjoy !!!
I have a suggestion for you as well. If youre not a sub for "Ask Jeff Williams" you should be.. he has so much knowledge as well as Dan Hurd Prospecting... Jeff just posted a video.. if youre dealing with alot of magnetics and black sands, get a big Washer, put in the center of your pan... get a powerful earth magnet and attach to bottom of the pan. When you statify, most of the magnetics will attach to the washer... making it easier to pan... plus he has a few other tips to share... you'll thank me later. 😎👍
What section of the Rouge are you working? I live near gp and have wanted to go try panning I'm thinking about going out near galice or at least down river from merlin but I'm curious where your working
I'm further down river from Gallice off in the woods a ways. I hear both Merlin and Galice are both great places to pan. I've been trying to make my way over to Galice to poke around one of these days. If you make it to Gallice, I hear Graves creek is a good place to poke arround too
Good deal. Thanks for replying, some people don't. I've dredged here in NC for years but I'm getting back to keeping it simple. Shovel, pan, sluice. I normally dig with Lee Hendrix Gold.
