Tracking the Tropics: Gulf system has high chance of development 

A large area of disturbed weather is hanging out in the Gulf of Mexico near the Yucatán Peninsula and has the potential to become the Atlantic hurricane season's first named storm.
However, it's not the only area worth watching: Tropical development is low but remains possible later this week off the coast of the southeastern U.S. and Florida.
