I live 3 miles from Surfside...trust me 14-19 mph winds is NOT an issue...that is really our normal.

Ms Chow has been a staple of my life since before I can remember having been born and growing up in Htown. Thank you to all the other reporters for being so willing to (literally) stand through this storm for all of us. I look forward to seeing y’all for many years to come. Ms Chow has helped me and my family throughout Rita, Ike, Tax and Memorial Day floods, Harvey, and even the Houston Derecho, and has informed us of anything and everything in between: whether that be floods, politics, laws; music festivals or celebration; new constructions or great restaurants. I hope she has many more years with us here in Houston and hope she’s enjoyed her time here as much as we’ve all enjoyed her. She is a true Houstonian and Texan through and through; a friend to all. Everyone in Mexico and Southern Texas: I hope y’all stay safe. We’ve got a hard hurricane season ahead of us, but we can make it through.
