Spent a fascinating day down in South Wales within the confines of
Margam marshalling yard at the point where it interacts with the BSC
exchange sidings. This enabled me to film not only EWS owned class
08 / 37 / 47 / 59 / 60 and 66 but the BSC owned shunters as well.
All filming was taken from a public footpath that runs through the yard.

Thank you Pete, glad you enjoyed. Thought many times about going back but knowing the freight is not so busy puts me off the idea of it a bit. Maybe one day. Thanks for watching mate and stay safe, Colin.

Wow what a great video Colin. Catching the industrial shunters is good as well. The 59s on the iron ore trains. South Wales at its best. I would like to go back there one day but I appreciate it won't be the same. The 66s in their first few days in this vid as well. Thanks for sharing Colin 👍🏻

Many thanks Ben. I must admit i havn't been back to South Wales for ages and keep thinking about giving it a go again, but i know that the freight is not what it was back then. There's always the new units i suppose. Thanks for watching mate and take care, Colin.

Have to say never seen those BSC shunters before Colin! Amazing footage there from 1999, great to see the early 66's and already upto at least 66202 which has worked in France for years! Never seen it. Nice 60 footage and don't think ive ever seen 012 either. The EWS liveried 59 was fantastic too. As always enjoyed your brilliant achive footage, cheers Nick.

Thank you Nick I'm glad you enjoyed the video. There was two class 59s working the iron ore trains mate, 59204 and 59202, not 66202 😂 Easy mistake to make though😊 Thanks for watching and take care Nick, Colin.
